I love it when Doctor Who leans into liminal and body horror. It always feels like a treat to see such striking and visceral imagery in a popularist, family drama.
The No-Things are already an all time classic enemy and I can’t wait to see them return at some point.
The only person I got an autograph from at the Dr Who 50th Anniversary convention was Gabriel Woolf - he signed my ‘Pyramids of Mars’ DVD.
As he leaned forward to pose for a picture, he whispered, “Bow before the might of Sutekh”, in THE voice.
I creased. Lovely bloke.
I’m way more on board with this whole thing knowing the script states this is a hangover from Maestro’s meddling.
But given that explanation was left on the page and wasn’t even hinted at in the broadcast episode, I’m still erring on the side of, “What the feck was that?!”
Instead of focusing on what the production team *might* have got *slightly* wrong, let’s look at what this shot tells us about the rough period in Beatles history this

Without this late 90s promo celebrating the BBC’s output for “small people”, I would never have entered the TV industry.
I am now a few months into my first ever Assistant Producer job on a returning CBBC series. ❤️
If potato-headed monsters not being able to shoot their laser guns straight while running through the back lanes of an alien occupied Liverpool while chasing comedian John Bishop is something that you’re getting frustrated about, Dr Who may not be the show for you. Just saying.
R.I.P. to Gambian-born British actor, Louis Mahoney who has died at the age of 81.
One of a few black actors to appear in the early days of

has been a blast from start to finish. I’ve loved it and I’m sad it’s over. I stand by my sentiment that it is the most “Doctor Who-y” Doctor Who has felt since the revival.
LEAKED BIG FINISH 9TH DOCTOR CHRONLOGY
9: “You could come with me?”
ROSE: “I can’t.”
(TARDIS DEMATERIALISES. 9TH DOCTOR HAS 147 BOXSETS WORTH OF STORIES WITH SOMEONE ELSE WHO EVENTUALLY BUGGERS OFF/DIES.)
(TARDIS REMATERIALISES)
9: “Did I mention, it also travels in time?”
It’s been over a year and a half since these were announced.
Did BF jump the gun? I doubt it - they usually have stuff recorded before letting any cats out of any the bags.
So what gives? The idea of more Fugitive Doc adventures in particular really excited me.
Imagine spoiling what could’ve been one of the all time great cliffhangers. 😔
Like, everyone still would’ve screamed “OMG IT’S JOHN SIMM!” the second Razor appeared on screen, but that’s not the point.
Blown away. Everything Doctor Who is and should be, delicately balanced for fans old and new.
Congratulations to the team responsible. Firing on all cylinders in every department.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
As someone who works in media accessibility, this is a massive feat on behalf of the BBC! New captions, audio descriptions and sign language options for the greatest show in the galaxy! 😍
Congrats to the team responsible for pulling this together.
If you’re worried about a lack of content for the 60th Anniversary, don’t worry: I just found out about a show which is doing a Dr Who special later in the year and I would’ve spat out my tea if I had been drinking any.
As of 9pm tonight (23/08/2022), I will have been alcohol-free for a full 365 days.
Drinking did me no good and I’m happy and proud to have reached this milestone.
Cerebral sci-fi at its finest.
That was

doing what it does best - working to a constraint and telling a story that goes beyond expectations.
Goes to show how little you actually know the people you’re interacting with online. Awful story - what a sick individual. My heart goes out to the family.
THAT was absolutely beautiful.
THAT is why Doctor Who is a woman.
Mum and I teared up. What a magical moment for young Anastasia. That will stay with her for the rest of her life.

From our first meeting in a game show production office in 2019, to being separated by international lockdowns, seeing out the pandemic in our tiny apartment, working together on loads of TV projects, moving to New Zealand…
Now engaged to each other. ❤️
The love of my life.

That was an ASTONISHINGLY GOOD episode of

.
Genuinely scary, with two maliciously evil performances from Ian Gelder and Clare-Hope Ashitey.
Might be one of my favourite stories from the last ten years. Adored it from beginning to end.
I was so flabbergasted by the reveal that I haven’t had a proper opportunity to enjoy Jo Martin’s ludicrously assured, confident and completely Doctor-ish performance.
She’s completely inhabits the role, instantly. 🙌🏼
I love that the Abbey Road stuff they were shooting for
#DoctorWho
is probably a very short sequence - perhaps for a visual gag - but here on Twitter, it is an indicator that we’re getting “The Beatles Episode” about them being erased and people are already fantasy casting 🤡🤡
William Russell elevated the part he was given, considering the role was created to be the action hero in place of the elderly lead. Ian became much more than that.
His charm and warmth radiated from the screen. A bonafide television legend. RIP.
One thing that I desperately hope improves under Russell is the programme’s visibility to the general public.
I want to scroll through my local news and see a Dalek being invited to a school library again. And 13 episodes a year + a Christmas special. Either or.

’s most beautiful and powerful tale. Tears in my eyes throughout. That was a watershed moment, not just for Series 11, but possibly for the programme as a whole. Beautifully paced, preformed and penned by all involved. That was a magical piece of TV.
The Chris Chibnall interview has been a very interesting listen.
The most striking part for me is the bit on secrecy. I understand not wanting to let all of the cats out of the bag (and God knows location reports tend to do that anyway) but I’m not sure he gets that…
Not sure if it’s been mentioned elsewhere but feel like it’s my duty to report that the Disney+ version of ‘Rogue’ did not carry the William Russell caption.
This absolutely needed to be P Cap’s theme for his entire run. It would’ve sold the change in character from “Am I A Good Man?” to “Rockstar Grandad” way better, imo
The Master. Gallifrey. The Timeless Child. Nazi occupied France. 19th century England. James Bond-fun. Technological terrors. Incredible visuals. Stellar acting. ALL IN 60 MINUTES! And none of it felt rushed!
My excitement levels for this series are off the charts!
#DoctorWho
Bloody heck!
That was intense. Proper edge-of-your-seat stuff. I’ve not felt that invested in an episode and it’s characters for...years and years! What an epic two-parter - the best opener since...Series 5 maybe?? Loved it. Man this show is brilliant right now.

Reflecting on everything ‘The Giggle’ told us about bi-regeneration, I think my biggest issue is that it didn’t tell us what was happening.
All the stuff about whether or not 15 is in the original TARDIS, or what happened to all the old farts during their regens has come from
Somebody catch me 🫨
Godsmacked this hasn’t happened already. Two titans of 60s pop culture that have remained utterly timeless.
So pleased it’s coming together at last.
