Sad news - John C Hogan, the last of the Yeti actors from The Abominable Snowmen has died. We interviewed him last summer and he went into hospital before Christmas. He was a warm host to us - surprised that we'd tracked him down after all these years. RIP John

#ChristmasIdentCalendar Day 19. David Tennant bowed out in #DoctorWho & starred in BBC1's 2009 ident, using reindeer to free a snowed in TARDIS. He introduced his last story (12m watched) & it was the last time we saw the full ident.After he regenerated the news version was used.

Incredibly sad to hear of the passing of the gorgeous Stewart Bevan. With his beloved @ManningOfficial , we had such a lovely, rainy, windy time filming in Deri a couple of years back - where I made him drive an undriveable Bessie. He was charm itself, and will be missed.

My favourite thing about Season 24 is that they wanted to have Sylvester McCoy playing the spoons but his first story was set in space so they had to design SPACE SPOONS. God bless @LeeBinding for including them on the cover, but we should be issuing them as free gifts too!

Ah. Farewell to a brilliant actor, and a sweet, gentle man. I only worked with him the one time, for our Reign of Terror DVD doc, but I was so glad to have him there. In those early years of Who, he shouldered so much of the show and is responsible for so much of its success. RIP
