This is brilliant.
When I was young, I spent a year volunteering, doing youth and community work.
It was the best year of my life.
Now every young person will get that experience.
It is the honour of a lifetime to be selected as the Conservative Parliamentary Spokesperson for Plymouth Sutton and Devonport.
Plymouth is my home. It’s where I live, work and grew up.

“The system is rigged,” says unsuccessful Labour candidate
@faizashaheen
.
“We have to do the internal reflection but we have to look at the way in which the system is working as well.”

Every Labour MP that stood at the last election supported a man who believed in scrapping Trident.
We can’t trust Labour on defence.
We can’t trust Labour with Plymouth’s economy.
LTN update:
@CroydonLabour
has decided to press ahead with reintroducing the Crystal Palace/South Norwood LTN.
This is the wrong decision and demonstrably against the will of residents.
My
@CroydonTories
colleagues and I have called it in to scrutiny.
Great session out in Hartley today.
Knocked on the door of one of my old school teachers. All of a sudden I felt like a nervous 14 year old that had forgotten my rugby kit 😆
Can you help us find our missing MP
@LukePollard
It’s been some time since he’s been spotted campaigning in Sutton & Devonport. And apparently he has no plans to do so…

We will build up to 6 new warships capable of rapidly landing commandos onto beaches across the world, and we will save HMS Albion & HMS Bulwalk from being scrapped or mothballed.

We do respect your free speech. We’re not trying to change the law to stop you. We are just expressing our opinion that we think you are wrong, wish you would give it a rest and let us enjoy a big day which is very important to many of us.
All three people standing to be the

Great comments from Eliska from

Too many residents feel ignored by the council and have no confidence in its consultation report.
Being an MP is a more than full-time role. I don’t have gaps in my diary for a second job. My priority will always be Plymouth - not lining my own pocket.
I wonder what Twitter would look like if, just for 30 minutes, we all decided to believe that everyone involved in combating the Coronavirus was doing the best job they knew how to do

@OwenJones84
But these are all criticising her for her skills. That's part of political debate. You have talked with passion about what you think the effects of some Conservative policies have been - but that doesn't make you responsible for the death threats ministers have received
The government has given over money to Croydon council which has not been given to the local businesses that need it. Perhaps .
@SteveReedMP
could have a word with .
@CroydonLabour
colleagues to get this sorted. You can’t just be a party of protest when you’re in power.
Today I have the honour of voting for my dear friend
@MarioCreatura
. If we elect him today, he will give everything to our community. We need an MP whose eyes light up when he talks about Croydon. With
@MarioCreatura
that’s what we get.

Life under Croydon’s Failing Labour Council:
✂️ Children’s Centres: CUT
✂️ Community Ward Budgets: CUT
✂️ Graffiti Teams: CUT
✂️ Park Maintenance: CUT
✂️ Libraries: CUT
✂️ Leisure Centres: CUT
🥀 The grass in our graveyards? No cutting to be seen!
I’ve nothing against people being sent to the Lords so that they can serve. But given that Starmer has 412 MPs to choose from, the fact that 12% of the ministers appointed so far will need to be raised to the peerage hardly speaks to his confidence in the PLP
Today we made history.
250 young people who stereotypically would never have an interest in Politics flooded the streets to engage with the amazing residents in Fairfield.

Why are the left going for Johnny?
Because they know it’s his personal popularity+ his record that makes it very difficult for them to take his seat.
So they go in with attacks that have nothing to with policy.
It won’t work.
It just draws attention to the fact they have no plan
I don’t see why I should respond to stuff like this. The idea of being challenged on my competence by Kevan Jones MP - universally acclaimed as the worst UK Defence Minster this century (and that takes some doing) - is not going to ruin my Sunday night.
It is a real honour and privilege to stand as the
@CroydonTories
candidate for the beautiful ward of

North. If you put your trust in Sue, Richard and me tomorrow, we will work tirelessly to repay it
#Croydon
Oh what a night. So,
1) congratulations
@LukePollard
for a clear win. It’s annoying, but people to like him 😊
2) I am over the moon that my good friend
@SWDevonRebecca
was elected in South West Devon. She will be an incredible MP and public servant
The United Kingdom is a great country but we face a profound economic crisis.
That’s why I am standing to be Leader of the Conservative Party and your next Prime Minister.
I want to fix our economy, unite our Party and deliver for our country.
Excellent from

Part of a rethink must include an open attitudes toward neuro-linguistic treatments such as the Lightning Process.
These are hard to evidence in the conventional way, but are hailed by many as having given them their lives back.
NHS can’t ignore them.
An awful condition that rarely dominates headlines, but impacts the lives of hundreds of thousands.
Ministers may have changed, but the urgency to act remains

Had a little break from Croydon today to campaign for the phenomenal

A Labour government risks 3,500 local job opportunities.
Their plans for a "deeper" EU relationship will cause Plymouth's freeport to fail.
We need to work together to protect the freeport.
So, I've launched the "freeport-protection pact" 👇
Another really positive day campaigning for Faye in Somerton and Frome! Faye is the by far best candidate to represent Somerton and Frome in Parliament. She gets things done! Vote Faye, Vote Conservative 💙

Frustrating that
@CroydonLabour
looks set to push through an extension to the Crystal Palace and South Norwood LTNs, despite 75% of residents objecting. Would be good to hear what
@SteveReedMP
can do to help his residents' voices be heard.
@OwenJones84
Then why not distinguish between people who say a) that someone has not exhibited the right skills for high office (which we have said) and b) actual hatred?
@mercer_felicity
@PlymouthLabour
When people can’t be magnanimous in victory, it is a worrying sign. Some of the speeches last night bordered on personal attacks on Johnny. This is not okay.
Today we remember a man who lived for unconditional love, relentless inclusion and truth that transcends tribe. He was feared. And he was put to death.
If we devote our lives to the same values, we’re going to get kicked around a bit too.
@wesstreeting
I mean...we haven’t even changed our immigration systems yet. How can you possibly declare Brexit a failure when we are, in fact, still in the EU?! We need more realism and less politicking
At a time when high streets have faced their biggest crisis in living memory, the council should be doing all it can to support struggling traders. What does
@CroydonLabour
do? Removes free parking from high streets and ramps up ticket prices across the borough.
We are introducing a new green parking scheme on 1 Jan. Emission based parking charges will mean drivers with the greenest vehicles will get substantial discounts – encouraging a switch to low emission vehicles and discouraging non-essential car use.

So the SNP has tabled a motion it pretty much knows it can’t pass. Unity and solidarity mean little. Scoring political points mean everything. Punch and Judy at it’s finest...
Had a great time knocking on doors with Tim Lever (and the the team) in Peverell today.
Plymouth needs councillors who put people before politics. Who want to serve the community and get things done.
That’s who Tim is. If you live in
#Peverell
please give him your support.
This is very indicative of .

Everyone: you’re making bad decisions and failing Croydon
Croydon Labour: we blame the royal family
Everyone: Err...I mean...WHAT???
@CPhilpOfficial
Do you ever think before you tweet? It’s high value land,town centre, with multiple lucrative potential uses. You Conservatives want to spend on a new Royal yacht & £900,000 just painting a plane! Get London’s £1.3b COVID-19 funding shortfall sorted,it’s a bigger priority for you
Today, I encourage my fellow Croydonians to vote for a directly elected mayor. Changing the system won’t automatically fix

’s problems. But I believe this crucial change will lead to greater ownership and more accountability
#DEMOC
Just left the Plymouth Trade Council hustings after lots of chatting afterwards.
Okay, so I don’t think I was flavour of the month at this meeting, but everyone gave me a fair hearing and I appreciate that.
Despite my youthful appearance, I’ve seen this all before.
Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.
Yesterday we lost some great councillors. But we haven’t heard the last of them.
Now it’s time to focus on what our positive plan for the future means for Britain and Plymouth

Today is polling day in Efford & Lipson.
We’ve spoken to countless residents over the last few weeks. What they want is an active councillor who understands local issues and makes getting the basics right a priority.
That is exactly what Will Jones will do.
Vote for him today!
Very proud to see my parents honoured in NY honours list. Politics will never be an uncontroversial path to tread, but I know they have devoted their lives to public service.

Disingenuous to the point of outright deception.
This is a problem that has been ongoing for centuries.
Labour didn’t even monitor it.
The Conservative government is the first one to put a plan in place to stop it and that plan is already showing real signs of success.
When we strive for inclusion we don’t get all of it right. We stumble, we make clumsy mistakes. But when we’re doing our best to make the world a more just place, we can take pride in that. Great to be at the
