A very proud moment for all involved in the 1914 Killingworth Centenary Project. The final event in the 4 year programme was held at St John's. Students from 11 local schools lay 11 white wreaths and 293 poppy wreaths to commemorate Killingworth residents who lost their lives.

It's not often that students secure a scholarship to Alabama Space Camp but Adam from Year 11 managed to do so! The Camp covered astronaut training, with 3 hr long simulations and a water tank. It looks like a fantastic experience. #STEM
