Merry Christmas to the Holystone Community. Since we introduced Accelerated Reader earlier this term, pupils from Y2-Y6 have managed to read a combined total of 2960 books which in total is a staggering 12,024,455 words! Keep on reading children!

Delighted our giant teddy bear has found a new home ! As a mascot for A&E Calendar Lads Community Charity Group - a medical charity who as well as donating a healthy amount to school fund have also offered to support some safety awareness sessions.
A couple of weeks ago, Mrs Marsden challenged each class to transform a plain, old hula hoop into a giant Christmas decoration.

This week, Year 5 have been writing a biography about the inspirational mathematician Katherine Johnson, who worked on the NASA Apollo 11 mission. We were so impressed with all of the children’s efforts. Well done to our Star Writers! Some extracts of work are to follow.
