Our state (Georgia) is dead last in percentage of the population that has gotten at least their first Covid shot. The criteria that Kemp has set is far too narrow. Just look at the daily open shots available at Walmart & Walgreens, for example. It looks like this every day!

@RivianUpdates Same thing happened to us. We also walked away with no serious injuries. R1T was totaled but they worked with us and got us another truck less than a month after the crash. I will forever be thankful to the engineering team at Rivian for building the safest truck on the road.

One of the most important (&confusing) factors in the “trees are plentiful” discussion, is that most of these nice tall Georgia Pines don’t make for good lumber. You can get 2x4s from slash, loblolly, & long leaf pine (the 3 types we have in the South) but it’s not Fir quality.

Rivian showed up Saturday. 3 years and 3 weeks to the day I did the deposit. So far, I’ve been very impressed. The EV thing is completely new to me, so finding charging stations & learning the different plugs is new. So is not needing to hit the breaks to stop.

And tried to steer right at the last second to not take a direct straight on blow. The other truck was totally destroyed. They had to pry the guy out and took him straight to the ER.

@LumberTrading This is spot on, Stinson. But it goes beyond the trusses. Builders can’t get enough paint, bath tubs, flooring. Why pay historically high $ for lumber, if you can’t finish the project. The “lumber has crashed” headlines assumed “there’s lots of trees.” Truth is more complex.
