L to R; My earliest picture of myself. My mum & I when I was 18 & my husband around the time we met in 1989. I believe my mum knew I was gay, but she never asked. It didn’t matter to her, that I know. A mothers love is a blessing.

As a gay ex soldier serving in the British Army for 12 yrs from age 15 (I was not aware I was gay at 15). I kept my fear of being gay hidden for fear of imprisonment in an army correctional jail & dishonourable discharge that would have ruined any chance of civil employment.

“We were once told the Bible is very clear, the earth is flat, slavery is legitimate, leadership is male, divorce = exclusion, the earth is only 6000 yrs old etc. Now those immature readings of scripture have been dumped. So why do some still use it to exclude LGBT + people ?”

The Economic Cost of Homophobia; TIME sites Uganda as one the poorest countries who will lose out on World Bank Investment & commercial investment opportunities as well as development aid for its discriminating gay hate laws. It’s an own goal for Uganda!!
