Everyone help me congratulate Valerie Carreon-Desai who won 1st place in the USA Wrestling Junior National Duals this week helping Texas secure their National Duals Team Championship! Way to make us Foster Proud! 🏆🥇
When you put 11 out of 12 girls in the finals you get a nice bench along the side of the mat to cheer your teammates on! First time in school history that all 12 girls qualified for Regionals.

Proud of our Senior! This captain has demonstrated what you need to do to accomplish his goals. After going 1-2 at states last year he cranked up his workouts and has been one of the most coachable kids I’ve ever had. He has made Foster proud!!!!
Great turnout for our kids today. Girls finish in 1st at the Carlos Molina tournament winning by over 100pts. Boys finish in 2nd finishing behind A&M Consolidated. Shout out to first time tournament champions

Chase Subora, Shaylynne Nelson, Adelle Patterson,
Our girls team wrestled their butts off with missing two of our state qualifiers for this tournament! Largest tournament in the nation and we finished in 5th. We were able to beat out 6 Top 10 ranked 6A schools while finishing as the second highest 5A school by 2.5 points.
Foster freshman (
@Fosterwrestling
) Madison Canales wins the bronze in the 5A girls 119-pound weight class, defeating Emily Trevino of Misson Sharland Pioneer by decision (9-2). Canales finishes with a 19-1 HS record overall
Foster senior Taylor Rich places sixth in the

5A girls 185-pound weight class. The senior team captain exits from the high school wrestling mat with 3 trips to the state championships and a 29-7 record in her final campaign.
Glad we were able to represent Houston and
@lcisdathletics
this weekend. Even though we finished as 2nd in the state it is still a huge accomplishment! Looking forward to getting healthy and pushing through UIL competition season! District in 9 days!!!!
