Today, I ran into an old pilot who used to let me hop on his plane. and fly home for free when I was a struggling student in flight school. Today we were both in the airport lounge getting ready to fly our individual birds. He said he was proud of me.

Even as pilots flying in with a jet and not requiring visas, I know how much longer the Nigerian passport keeps us in the airport. It’s crazy that some Nigerians are trying to invalidate that flying regularly with a Nigerian passport gets you on the Frequent Humiliation List.

I handed in my passport to the immigration officer in Havana. He looked at it, tossed it aside and told me to stand aside until they were done with everyone else. I stood there for hours before I was “specially attended to”. This emergency patriotism you people want to do, hmm.

Imagine opening a USD account and depositing dollars. You travel abroad and decide to spend your hard earned money via card payments. Only then do you realize that your bank is charging you a fee of 16% per transaction. Nigerian banks should just carry gun, this is robbery.

This Adaora dress matter is really about forcing women to suppress their personality to fit into male dominated spaces. And it reminds me a lot about flight school. I was the girl with nicely trimmed but bright colorful nails, and a lot of folks tried to bully me for it.

If you’re a wine lover, Cape Town is worth the visit. And one of the best ways to explore the Capetonian winelands is via the Franschhoek wine tram One tram, multiple wine estate. Definitely the wine capital of Africa.

One time a flight instructor refused to endorse my logbook until I wiped off my red lipstick, that it wasn’t “professional” I refused & we ended up in the Training Director’s office. By the time I made a presentation of female airline pilots with red lips, no one tried me again.

I learnt this in food microbiology, 300 level. Any food that microorganisms don't deem fit to act on and spoil, is definitely not fit your consumption as a human. Fufu is at the top of this list.
