(1/7) If you are in a Return to Throw (RTT) protocol without a throwing sensor (Driveline Pulse, KP Sleeve, Nextiles), a radar gun is an EXCELLENT gauge of output. A gun prevents unintentional spikes up or down in effort/velocity.

As the game goes faster, the forearm has to handle more stress and becomes more fatigued. Max is 100% correct. The pitch clock and pitching in general requires the muscles that offload torque from the UCL to handle significant stress. These muscles need to be trained PROPERLY.

Workload and strength go hand and hand. Workload management with a lacking strength base won’t get you anywhere. All the strength the world won’t matter if throwing/training is managed poorly. However, both can pick up the slack of “poor mechanics” if the right boxes are checked.

We should be adhering throwing workload to the strength/ readiness of the forearm daily. Not throwing various "arm care" exercises at athletes daily to target the forearm. I believe workload + strength are the most impactful categories in injury prevention. Mechanics 3rd.
