Really common in palliative care. You know the person's time is soon when they do a sudden miraculous Lazarus recovery. Time to call the family if they aren't already there.

Ice cream during a date is ๐ in my unwanted, honest opinion. Maybe she is lactose intolerant and worried about a little ๐ฌ๏ธ๐ฌ๏ธ during the date ๐ซฃ๐คฃ
@julesbuddle
Ah, you can join my ranks of "mass murderer" that's been put on me twice. Once by an ex pal who (thankfully) is no longer a nurse (and extremely paranoid about modern medicine), and second by an antivaxxer who will personally see to it I am hung at the Hague ๐

I'm sorry for your loss. These little boosts of energy can be quite confusing for the families and loved ones for that exact reason. It's important for expectations to be managed by those looking after the person who is dying.
@TheDepressedMed
As nurse, I am so sorry my colleague was fucking awful. Shameful behaviour. If the nurse is so great, get her to do her own cannulas in the future. She needs reporting.
@dumbbitchmargo
But guys! Don't you know marriage AND Jesus are a big magical, invisible condom that means marriage cures all!
Seriously though love, safe sex practices, not marriage prevents STI/STDs. Married people get them too, sweet cheeks.
@helen_barnowl
You're absolutely not crazy. Not only do my surgery and thousands others, but our local sexual health service. I've had both my smear and my mirena removed/re-fitted in the past 6m. Each time had a disposable curtain that is used on wards. We have same in our surgery.
@helen_barnowl
They are talking through their arse. That is not on and completely inappropriate for such an examination. I'm sorry you had to go through this without your privacy being paramount.
@Dr__Sarmy
Don't even start me on this...I know we are not meant to judge, but it really angers me, especially when I see kids coming in unwell with the preventable diseases that said vax protect them against.
Ha! GP contacting BBC Radio Scotland giving them into trouble for falsely stating GP land has been closed. They described the triaging and confirmed we never stopping seeing/dealing with patients. About time. We are all exhausted with this false narrative. We have never stopped
And yet, she and other healthcare workers of ALL sizes, will still be there to care for your miserable, sour arse when you inevitably need them without the judgement you are dishing out in spades.
Arsehole.

Damage to surrounding wildlife and landscape? Pollution from engine substances: fuel/oil/whatever else. If emergency services called to extinguish any fire/explosions - the cost and diversion from actual accidental emergencies. Potential loss of human life that may be in the area
@ResistMonsters
Thank you ๐ I was giving her a little wiggle room, but the "I'm too grown-up" attitude was dripping from her message.
Ah well...on to the next!
My youngest niece developed this at 1m old in 2012, needed intubated and nearly died. It is an awful infection. When she pulled through, she needed re-admitted to deal with the damage caused by the ET. "Common" viruses kill the vulnerable. People seem to forget this
My son almost died from RSV when he was 2 1/2 and I still have PTSD from his extended hospitalization on PICU stay. And what did you just call it? A common virus? As if it was nothing. Your disdain for those who can die from common viruses is showing.
It is not beauty, is a chronic mental illness. It has made me lose a large chunk of my adult life to sleep, lose work, lose opportunities, end up arse deep in debt, lost pals because I became isolated and see me fight a daily battle with my body and self. Fuck right off.
That is a feeding tube, a dummy (bit like the owner of the account), those are haemangiomas which should fade as the child grows.
As a vaccinator, esp one who has vaccinated babies, this child is too young for the MMR. They need to be at least 12 months.

Love seeing women's faces light up when I tell them about topical oestrogen and that they don't just have to suck it up when it comes to painful intercourse post menopause/painful smear.
Here! Take all the pessaries! Have them all!

Can be a positive wee turn of events but it's important to manage family expectations that this isn't a miracle bounce back. Can give them more interactive/quality communicative time with their loved one. Will always be sad though.
Mr Chops surprised me last night with this for our 1st Anniversary together.
He even made my fav creamy chicken dinner (that made him ill afterwards).
I love you Chops โค even if you're a grumpy snottery bear today.
@1goodtern
There are a number of patients I remember being in contact with before it was officially declared in the UK, that I am convinced had covid. Especially one person who had travelled from India via UAE and landed that morning. Not typical symptoms but the later ones we found out.
Hi - precocious puberty at 6yrs old here ๐๐
I was put into a chemical menopause at 7 for 3yrs. Every 12w - zoladex fired into my lower abdo. My body has paid the price ever since.
I certainly was not an adult capable of consenting to sex or bearing any children.
Get fucked.
Bang on 13yrs today (I think...). Had already qualified and registered. Came home from Oxford to graduate. I still count 16 for the 3yrs of slave labour before hand (๐).
When you're the tallest (5ft 2.25" to be exact) out of all the nursing staff on site tonight, and the ANP has to put a request in for a step ladder for us to be able to reach the top shelf of the meds cupboard to stop us from standing on chairs ๐คฃ๐คฃ

It's the final excruciating symptom to depression and other mental health problems. Just be thankful you've never reached that stage. Nobody understands until they get there.
Actually quite proud of myself for going out today with my 3 nieces and sister-in-law. Burst from work this week but pushed myself, where I'd have given every excuse to isolate because I was exhausted, wishing I was ๐, and saw everyone as unsafe.
It's a wee thing but it's big.
@sophielouisecc
Oh be quiet child.
You call for nothing. If you spent less time spewing bile and parroting right wing crap, you might learn a thing or two. It's your Tory pals to blame for this. This started 12yrs ago. Lockdown has nothing to do with this.
Maybe listen to us who work in it.
Don't think this is going quite the way you thought it would, eh chap?
The fact you would leave your kid in pain (and delaying treatment and risking complications) just because you're too far up your own arse to comply with basic infection control, shows your parenting skills.

@FirstHealth
has my 6 yr old (Broken ankle) sitting in the COLD outside because I refuse to allow them to force him or me to wear their racist, Godless masks.
They're still playing mask games, pretending they mean something, using them for social enforcement.
End this NOW.
Social distancing my arse. The amount of folk walking about or congregating having a good ol'natter on my way home.
We won't get out of this any quicker unless you fanoirs start playing the game! Wake up!

Discharged from psychiatry. Confirmed complex PTSD. The manager who questioned my diagnosis last year on my OH referral, thus making me doubt myself and thinking I've made it all up...can kiss my arse.
Weโre making real progress in getting patients to see their GP quicker.
โ Almost 2 million more appointments were delivered this February vs. February last year.
๐๏ธ Thatโs 100,000 more appointments each working day.
๐ With more GPs and primary care staff to come.
