@helen_barnowl You're absolutely not crazy. Not only do my surgery and thousands others, but our local sexual health service. I've had both my smear and my mirena removed/re-fitted in the past 6m. Each time had a disposable curtain that is used on wards. We have same in our surgery.

My youngest niece developed this at 1m old in 2012, needed intubated and nearly died. It is an awful infection. When she pulled through, she needed re-admitted to deal with the damage caused by the ET. "Common" viruses kill the vulnerable. People seem to forget this
