My favourite league season of any team purely from a stats and giggles pov, is Milan's legendary 1993-94 Serie A triumph on the back of just 36 goals scored in a 34 game campaign. Built on their defence, on Baresi & Costacurta - even they conceded two more than Rangers 2020-21.

Funny thing: I'm almost phobic about blaming refs whenever watching Rangers - can't trust my judgement and don't want our players using officials as excuses - but just watched Scunthorpe clearly being cost 2 points by the ref at Oxford. Don't care about either team. Fuming.

Very happy with that. Yes, we should have scored more but the general trend is what the last month is all about. The December fixtures may have been cut short (against our will) but we have won them all and we have also extended our lead. That's a huge positive.

From losing 5-0, when it's difficult to spot anything we did right, to losing 1-0 when you can see PRECISELY where it went wrong, be that a foul we wanted (I thought it was soft) or a player not chasing back enough (Ejaria gave everthing on Thursday). Growing pains. Growing fast.

Postecoglu was just over six months as manager when he got his first Old Firm victory, Beale just under. Both were 3-0 home wins. Ange had used the rearranged mid-season break to revitalise his squad for a second time. Mick joined mid-season, had one window and a board in flux.

@MartinRemains Yup. Never got the old "turn that off - I can't abide him/her" when it came to politics. Always wanted to know my enemy. But there's nothing political about what Johnson's doing and I don't enjoy feeling hatred. Plus now we all know he's always only doing something totally venal.
