Ladies, if he:
- Is slick as Gaston
- Is quick as Gaston
- Has a neck that's incredibly thick as Gaston
- Shoots like Gaston
- Makes those beauts like Gaston
- Goes tromping around wearing boots like Gaston
- Uses antlers in all of his decorating
He's not your man. He's Gaston.
Look, either women are "strong empowered warriors" or we're not. If ever there was a time to suck it up and do what you have to do, this is that time. It is my duty and my great joy to care for my family. I am not a victim. No matter how much you want me to be.
The

pandemic is placing a greater burden on women who carry the bulk of care and domestic work at home.
It’s on all of us to split responsibilities at home between everyone!
Our reproductive rights are being erased.
Until women have legal control over our own bodies we just cannot risk pregnancy.
JOIN ME by not having sex until we get bodily autonomy back.

My family has grown by one Moore! It was a rather dramatic entrance 12 hours before the planned c-section but we are home and recovering well so far. 💕
Let me explain something: The reason I am able to live my dream of being a stay-at-home mom is that my husband supports that decision and works hard every day to make that financially feasible. He's not keeping me at home, he's supporting my choices.

I just wanna give a shoutout to all the amazing women who stay home cooking, cleaning, and raising the amazing men and women of tomorrow. Yours is the most important job of all.
Ooh, this is a fun game! Let me try.
Sneakers are a very popular type of footwear.
But to many (like bugs, for example) they are instruments of death.
Am I doing this right?
Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony is one of classical music’s most famous works.
But to many, it’s also a symbol of elitism and exclusion.
Listen to

explain why:
The scariest part about this is how quickly the school jumped to toe the party line. Hold a debate, have a discussion, ask the students to weigh in, but don’t give in to bullies. That is a lesson middle schoolers ought to learn.

It seems to me that the fact that there are trans people is further evidence that gender is not socially constructed. If you can feel that you are a gender that is different from your sex (as some people do) then gender must be real, not constructed.

Do not use derogatory terms, such as insane, crazy/crazed, nuts or deranged, unless they are part of a quotation that is essential to the story.
Avoid using mental health terms to describe unrelated issues. Don’t say that an awards show, for example, was schizophrenic.
It's important to define your roles in a marriage. For example, my job is to stand on the toilet lid screaming incomprehensibly and my husband's job is to kill the giant cockroach that is on the bathroom door.
Did I indicate any desire to hear this information?
Is it possible I know more about this topic than you do?
Did you read the room before starting to speak?
You can avoid being a mansplainer by asking yourself these questions:
👉Did she indicate any desire to hear this information?
👉Is it possible that she knows more about this topic than I do?
👉Did I read the room before starting to speak?
The contempt with which she speaks about the source material for the character she's playing should automatically disqualify her for playing this role. We've got to stop writing off fairy tales as "outdated" and "anti-feminist." They are neither!

about Notre Dame.
"The new rebellion is quiet. It’s calm. It happens at birthday parties and moms’ nights out, in the school pick-up line and at play dates. It’s one mom turning to another and saying, 'I’m so glad they lifted the school mask mandate!'"
Nine years ago today I was lying in a hospital bed fighting a terrible post-birth infection. The doctors were trying everything but I wasn't getting better. I sent out a prayer request (it was my first one, I had only just become a Christian). The next day, I begin to heal.
🎉Today is my birthday! (I know because when I clicked on my profile page there were balloons!) So, this is 41 apparently.
(It's a good day to buy yourself a present. I've got just the thing! Christmas Karol, a novel. I think you'll like it!) 🎈🎂
Well hang on. Yes, a mother's work is priceless, but our kids aren't blank canvases. They are their own, individual beings right from the beginning and our job, as parents, is to help them grow into who they were meant to be.
Motherhood is an art form. We get a blank canvas when the first kid arrives and what comes next is our very own masterpiece that only we can interpret. It is ours to appreciate and nobody has the right to appraise our artwork.
Listen, my unborn baby may be a clump of cells. But so am I. And so are you. There's no "just" about it. He is my child, and I am his mother, from the moment of his conception until forevermore.
Okay, so I can see who likes my posts, and you presumably know if you liked my posts, but other people won't know that you liked my posts, and this is presumably because you might be embarrassed that you liked my posts. But...why would you be embarrassed? I'm delightful!
Do I need an excuse? I...am not a sculptor? Talent doesn't bless us all. It's a mistake to think that you can do anything you set your mind to if you just work hard enough. I could work until my fingers bled and I would never ever be able to do that. That's what makes it great.
“I was on set at Deal or No Deal & thinking back to my time working as an intern at the U.S. Embassy in Argentina in Buenos Aires...and being valued specifically for my brain,” Markle said. “Here, I was being valued for something quite the opposite.”
I'm sorry, but no. Christmas music may not be played until Santa Claus reaches Herald Square in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. Check the rule book.
My dad taught me how to be brave. How to strip away the fear and the uncertainty and the worry and just do the thing that I know is right. I wrote this a few years ago, but the things
@andrewklavan
taught me never get old. Happy Father’s Day.
I was sick every single day of both of my pregnancies. I was cut open. I am scarred. I am not the same size I was when I was 20. Today I was pooped on, peed on, spit up on, and drooled on. My body is not what it once was. But it gave me my children. So it is beautiful.
In which I maintain that Frozen's Elsa is "self-absorbed, fearful, closed-off, and makes a lot of really bad choices" and that "Anna is actually the one who does all the emotional (and literal) work."

PSA: Regardless of what you think of Dr. Seuss, do not -- I repeat, do not -- try to write some witty poem in his style conveying your viewpoint. Dr. Seuss was an actual genius at this and no one else can do it. No. Not even you.
This is wrong. Men should bow to women. Women should then curtsey in response. Then the man should ask if she would honor him with a dance and the woman should offer him her dance card while a dowager looks on approvingly.
It was a new kind of fairy tale — Cinderella ditches the prince but keeps the shoes. Twenty years later, though, these “real-life” Carrie Bradshaws are starting to wonder what happened to their happy endings.

Not only was the baby I lost via miscarriage my baby, but it was the miscarriage itself that convinced me of that. I grieved for my child (I grieve for him still) and I wish (every day) that I'd asked for his body back so I could lay him to rest and visit his grave.
A fungus that emits a kind of amphetamine is infecting some cicadas and causing their genitals to fall off — while prolonging their sexual stamina and making them want to obsessively mate with everyone.

Shame, noun: a painful feeling of humiliation or distress caused by the consciousness of wrong or foolish behavior.
The only thing about this that you could even possibly be ashamed of is the fact that you think this and tweeted about it.
