Seven years ago today, Iranian and American leaders announced the agreement of the Iran nuclear deal. Seven years later, President Biden is in the Middle East, stating that he would use force to keep Iran from attaining nuclear weapons. We're moving in the wrong direction.

#SNAP is extremely effective at helping families keep food on the table. It's an anti-poverty program, not a jobs program. Tacking on work requirements will only lead to more people going hungry and more red tape for families trying to survive.

Calling for ☮️ isn't repugnant...shaming those who do is. Calling for a #CeasefireNow to protect civilians in the most densely populated spot in the world shouldn't be too much to ask of our lawmakers. More war won't bring peace, nor will it support the safe release of hostages.

Two years ago, the U.S. assassination of Iranian general Qassem Soleimani put our two nations on the brink of war. We cannot return to the failed paradigm of mutual escalation with Iran. The Biden administration must choose peace and prioritize a return to the nuclear deal.

NEW: We joined 35+ civil society organizations in calling on Congress to publicly oppose a Foreign Terrorist Designation (FTO) of the Houthis in Yemen. An FTO designation would worsen an already dire humanitarian crisis, and hurt the chances of a settlement to the conflict.
