I guess building nothing but hotels, neglecting the night-time economy, allowing AirBnb commandeer all our city centre apartments, bending over backwards for Car Park owners, and doing nothing as night-clubs and venues were swept away turned out to be a bad idea after all...

Facade only retention? You have to be kidding me. Two of the oldest houses left on Francis St, both likely to have internal fabric even older than the early 1700's due to their proximity to the medieval city. Simply cannot be allowed to happen

Berlin does its simple, uncluttered, and unified public realm very well. Street markings only when really needed, trees as natural barriers rather than plastic poles, and robust materials that last and can be maintained with ease. Dublin, does not do any of these things

There's simply no will or desire from @DubCityCouncil to improve anything in this city, other than to make it easier for cars to get around. (Although I'm sure they've probably worked on a masterplan for the Quays. They seem to have plenty of will and desire for doing those.)
#DublinsQuays Time for a public realm refresh of Dublin’s quays and bridges. What should be a centerpiece amenity if the city is little more than a traffic route. It needed a comprehensive rethink.
