Boomers: You stupid, entitled kids!
Millennials: I can't wait for you to die
Gen Z, to both: Ok boomer
Gen X: Today on the podcast we'll be talking about generational divide as it relates to venture capitalism, but first, let me tell you about Casper Mattresses ...
@NebsGoodTakes
He’s such an asshole but he’s right. The Arrowverse actually understood how multiverses work and all the stunt casting was done with care and consideration. And they made that work on a Canadian TV show budget. It’s deserves all the credit available.
@RaxKingIsDead
I know a guy who got tackled by a cop on Bedford Ave the night Obama won and he was looking at a year in prison because the cop broke his own finger on the way down.

Yep. I'm no conspiracy theorist, but I'm starting think this is taking so long because they are negotiating the terms of Trump's surrender so that he doesn't have to go jail and the country won't eat itself.
Fun
@AndrewWK
story - he played at Misshapes in like 2005. (Misshapes was Studio 54 for the emo generation). It was just him and a keyboard and he tore the roof off. All these hipsters turning into screaming party maniacs. It was so, so much fun. One of the best NYC nights ever.
Back in 2006-07 i lived a few blocks from the McKibbin Lofts and went there a million times to party with strangers in the Ewok villages they built in their space. It really was a staple of mid-aughts NYC party culture. It feels like a lifetime ago.
Apparently, the CDC had been working with 10 different countries on a global outbreak prevention unit, including China. Guess which genius president cut that program last year?

Not sure whats going on in Baltimore that's producing all these insanely good bands made up of culturally diverse super young kids, but keep it up. You're the future and it's looking bright.
Looking for some good pop-punk with grunge elements? This is Baltimore's

I've been a Tim Drake fan for almost 30 years. As somewhat of an authority on the character, my two cents is that Tim is most definitely gay, always has been, and I will love him forever and ever. I hope one day that becomes official.

A stranger on Twitter literally just picked a fight with me about this. Thanks for agreeing with me! Another piece of this story is they sent in cops to patrol the area "just in case." Would they have done that for the Stroller Mafia in Park Slope? I think not.
My 67 year old mother just called me at 10pm, turning my blood to ice water, assuming that somebody died. She just watched THOR: THE DARK WORLD and was calling to ask me if Odin was OK.
This happens all the time. A few years ago the NYPD towed my motorcycle. No notice, no nothing. They cut the locks off with an angle grinder and took it so I reported it stolen. They told me to come get it at the Navy Yard. Then it got more shady. (thread)
@JuddWinick
and not because just of the relationship with Connor. how he feels about himself, his approaches to things, his apprehension with relationships with women, never "coming out" to his father as Robin. honestly all the signs are there.
Went to see 300 at Union Square in NYC. Some guy in front of us kept laughing maniacally at the dramatic parts. Lights came up at the end and it turns out the laughing guy was Spike Lee.
@sick__66
Yeah. He also got over his grief by moving to Switzerland and abusing an entire boarding school of teenage girls and then came back to LA to rape a 13-year-old in Jack Nicholson's hot tub, only to flee justice for the last 40 years. He's a real prince.
Things are pretty bleak right now, and I think everyone could use a little joy and excitement. So we'd like to share some of ours. That's right, here comes a new challenger.
Yeah, so ... I'm moving out of New York City. Not eventually, today. I wrote about the reasons and the 15 years' worth of emotions I'm feeling right now.

Its still genuinely confounding to me that this line across the board for these people is "I'm not a criminal, i should get to have my gun. But if you pass a law that tries to take it i will murder you with said gun."
@kibblesmith
also, weird/fun fact - a couple weeks ago my dad bought me a Blade movie replica sword at a tag sale in a bad neighborhood for $5. it weighs like 5 pounds, is sharp as fuck and comes with harness to carry it on your back.

Yes, hi, as a veteran of the hardcore scene, I can tell you this is exactly what this is. Sign Puncher is the guy that takes off his shirt and start crowd killing during between-song tuning.

Same story but it was NYCC and Bruce Campbell. He kept running and said "Hey I'm sorry, fella!" as he dashed off. He was also wearing a tuxedo.
- He's Jewish. Moon Knight is famously Jewish. (yes, this matters)
- he's fucking huge. He's 6'3 and jacked.
- he has Egyptian heritage. This is powerful response to Moon Knight's origin of a white man powered by an Egyptian god
Guys, listen. I like Oscar Isaac a lot. A real lot. But i LOVE Moon Knight. He's been my favorite Marvel hero for almost 30 years. If this is legit, I'm OK with it, but I was really, REALLY hoping for Oliver Jackson-Cohen. Here's why ...
For real though, a good choice for Moon Knight is Oliver Jackson-Cohen. Why? Well, he's ...
- 6'3
- handsome
- jacked as fucking fuck
- Jewish
- showed real range in Hill House
He has my vote.
@AshcanPress
i once drunkenly pitched a Marvel MAX title about Dazzler being the defender of the 1970s NYC gay club scene. i couldn't tell you if it was good or bad.
🚨 ATTN SOCIAL MEDIA PROS 🚨 I'm staffing a full team for a H-O-T project ASAP. I need CDs, ADs, copywriters, project managers, the works. Totally remote, contract until the end of Feb. Please get in touch and RT!

It really is crazy that Tim led his own book for over 200 issues across two titles and somehow there was no room for him in The New 52 or Rebirth. He deserved better.
there are like 10 Star Wars movies, but you nerds keep screaming only three of them are good. 3 out of 10 isn't great, so maybe you don't actually like Star Wars?
It's entirely weird to me that next Father's Day I'm going to be somebody's father. Like, I'm gonna look down at my small 10 month old child and be like "do you have anything to say to me?"
Holding my three day old son and looking out the window at Greenpoint, Brooklyn. This city has seen so much. Good days and worst days, New York City is made of stories. One day I hope my son understands what it means to be a New Yorker, good days and worst days.
Today is Baby Ezra’s first birthday. This is him being totally oblivious to that. I still can’t believe that I’m somebody’s father sometimes. I love you, bubba. Always.
So it's a racket. The city gets free money, a dirty cop buys another few MAGA hats and the tow guy gets a steady, reliable stream of business. So NYPD corruption goes all the way up to murdering unarmed people and all the way down to bullshit amateur hour scams like this.
here's a cool thing i did with
@songkick
where i interviewed Chris Carrabba about his music with
@dashboardmusic
looking back on the scene. It was a solid hang.
there's a Thin Lizzy song for just about everything. fighting as a cowboy, fighting as a street tough, getting laid as a cowboy, getting laid as a street tough, murdering someone as a cowboy, murdering someone as a street tough, and many more.

"Yes client, would you like a reasonable timeline or the special really fast one?"
"Does the fast one cost more?"
"Of course not"
"I'll take the fast one, please."
I have an interview today, August 25th, for a job I applied to on July 2nd. Yesterday I got a final word on a job I was up for that I started talking to in June. Don't give up. These things take time.
@jasonaaron
Bud, I'm gonna be honest with ya. If a genie popped out of a lamp and granted me three wishes, "Jason Aaron writing Moon Knight" would be one of them.
