First place and best sports, again!
The team are all absolutely overwhelmed, we’re all a bit drunk to tweet more coherently at the moment!
Thanks to all our opponents, and to the
@AosWorlds
organisers for a fantastic event.
Tom
NEW CAPTAIN/S SELECTED! - Team England are super excited to announce the new leadership team for the 2022/2023 Season.
For Worlds 2023 our Captain is
@Jackwarmstrong
! - Jack's been a proven member of the squad for a number of years and we wish him the best of luck as Captain!
Champions! Such an incredible weekend, 5 incredible rounds of warhammer, don't think any of us had a single bad game. Very chuffed to retain the title with so many other nations levelling up their game.
The entire team smashed it, all the players were absolutely brilliant.
Team England are pleased to announce the squad for 6N 2023.
Playing Captain - Laurie HW
NP Coach - Fabian Quinn
Max Barton
Dom Stonebridge
Freddie Leggett
Philip Springall
Russell Taylor
Andy Hughes
Hazel Moon
Training Camp for

is a blast! All playing tons of games together as a team and learning alot. It's been a long year of prep for England getting ready to defend our title but it's nearly time 🫡🫡🫡
The morning after the night before. Will do some sober proper ‘captain’ reflections at some point. All I will say now is that the spirt of everyone there, as shown during the awards ceremony, is the most wonderful display of ‘teaming’ that you’ll ever see. Such a pleasure. Jack
The team have had an amazing day today with two super tough rounds. A big apology to
@t_sportsnetwork
and people wanting to watch the round against Wales. We really appreciate what the stream brings to the event but after a stressful 1st round weren’t all in the right headspace.
It's 6N this weekend, so we wanted to introduce our team who are defending their title!
First up we have Rus, who will happily tell you how DOK are the strongest book in the game and are constantly underrated by players. Which is, of course, why he’s on Seraphon for the weekend.
ANNOUCEMENT!
Now that the voting process is over, we can confirm that Team England will take a dual captaincy approach for 2020!
@Tom_Mawdsley
has been selected as Captain and will lead the team to ETC
@lhwaos
has been appointed by Tom as Captain for the 6 Nations Event!
Here’s a little post
@AosWorlds
data, this is the output from our pairings this year. I always like to analyse data like this to spot patterns and mistakes.
One of the main things we focussed on this year was making sure players always played a scenario that was favourable.
So a bit of change to the England team for worlds. With great sadness both
@lhwaos
and
@PositiveVictim
can no longer make it. Thankfully due to the really strong squad system we have in place we have two recent 6N winners ready to join.
@MrMaximusB
@AoS_Marshy92
welcome!
Every other team announcing their players - “this guy is THE BEST Warhammer player in the world, and such a great person too”
Us - “This is Dan, he’s in the bath”
Interesting stat here - across ETC 2019 (6 Player Team) 6N 2021 (8 Players) and Worlds 2022 (8 Players) England were represented by 18 Different Players.
Shows that our charter is working well and we’ve got some real strong succession planning going on!
Today England set sail to begin our defense of the
@AosSix
title🫡 The team tournament season really gets going from here on out. Along with 6Nations we have Carnage Teams this weekend then next year we have two of the biggest on the calendar Brotherhood and Bloodtithe. 1/x
Team England are making their way across the UK to Cardiff today, to defend our 6N title over the weekend. All very hyped! Excited to get lots of great games in, plus whatever poor sods have to play
@Sheephammer
and
@MikeyWendel
England are still taking a multi-captaincy approach for this Season, with
@JustPlay_Richie
taking the helm for the
@AosSix
event in November! Similar to Jack, Ritchie brings a wealth of team event experience to the team and will be looking add new blood into the roster this year!
ANNOUNCEMENT!
Please find below a link to the Team England AoS Selection Charter. This will be the document that any captain will adhere to when selecting their team for the ETC and 6 Nations.
Coming Soon - Dedicated forum for Captains and Applicants!
Just a brief update now I've officially taken over from Tom. I'll be opening selection for Committee this week, due end of July. Team selection in August and announced September. Any TO's who are planning on running team events please can you DM me. Please retweet. Thanks, Jack
Fantastic meal last night, now we’re playing France this morning. France won last years event and consistently compete well in UK team events, so another tough round!
Onwards!
So sad news is that
@HellstormToby
wont be joining the England team for Worlds this year, but thankfully due to the strength of the squad we have
@MtgBro2Pro
off the back of winning an event last weekend ready to step up. Not long to go now!

Announcing the England team 2021!
First up is king of spam, Mr Dan Bradshaw
@CheekyBNOC
. Ask him about his masters winning list of Beasts of Chaos, if you have a spare half hour
England 78 -

Incredibly close round, the twists twisted and turned against us for some pretty gutting losses, but the US guys played a fantastic game
ANNOUNCEMENT (Of an accouncement)

Unsuccessful applications will receive their feedback from the committee by 19th Dec
ANNOUNCEMENT!
It's that time of the year again, although it doesn't feel like it! Team Selection for England for next year's 6N and ETC will begin fairly soon!
We are looking for new Selection Committee members to carry on from the fantastic job our team did last year.
Thank you to everyone that applied, we had 25 people total and some very hard decisions so congratulations to everyone who made it and better luck next year to those who didn't. Pleased to say that 5 of the 6N team are new England Caps and will strengthen the squad overall.
Some sad news to report this evening. England have had to withdraw from
@AosWorlds
2021 for a few reasons. We wish the committee the best in running a fantastic event and we’ll be there to win our title back in 2022!
(This does not impact 6 Nations)
Round one, good win for us. Ended up capping, but a lot closer than it looked. 6 wins, a cracking draw and then Russ dealing with giants on savage gains 🤢
Roll up, roll up. England 6N / Worlds applications are now open. Please fill in the following form by August 26th (so 4 weeks from today), aiming for team announcement by the 7th of September.
