Getting teary-eyed seeing all the love for High Noon Mordekaiser right now. This was super fun to do SFX on, and was such a team effort to get him to where he is now. Fun fact - there's a version of the ult background SFX for Morde, and a slightly different one for the enemy!

Ahri's Q on-hit SFX were probably the hardest thing I've ever worked on. For something that is such a short sound, it caused so many headaches for me. I went through a billion iterations, called it final, heard it again later and went through another billion by my own doing.

How it started vs. How it's going. 10 years ago I got my first rejection from Riot. It wasn't until 2019 that I would even get my first interview, landing me a job. I've grown a lot of growth over the course of that time, and one thing still remains - I fricken love LoL.

I forgot what it was like to work from 8-5pm. While at Riot, I'd get up around 8, leave at 9, get to work at 10, stay until around 7 or so after having dinner there, drive home and get home by 8:00. What was I doing, man? 12 hour days, with only 8 of those actually working x_x

The #gameaudio community is awesome. We never get to hang out outside of conferences and conventions, but yesterday a handful of us took the time to change that... at Disney. I love all these people and see them all not only as highly talented colleagues, but also good friends.

This is actually low. Most AAA companies will contract for at LEAST double that, sometimes way more. Just keep in mind proportion and company size IE, Disney won't be hurting if they spend $14,000 on a 1 minute trailer cue for Star Wars. Indie? That's like their entire budget.

Was cleaning out folders on my desktop when I came across my "Resumes" folder. I had cover letters to Riot that I found dated back to 2014. I know some exist somewhere before too. Ngl, I cringed reading it, but it was satisfying scrolling & seeing all the resumes halt at 2019.

@Necrit94 I used to write fan music for LoL. Champ themes, map themes, etc. I practiced that way, and I owe a lot of my professional career to those that took a chance on me at Riot, and leveled me up even before I joined them.
