2024 marks 25 years of watching puro for me. Been through the NOAH exodus, Inokiism, and Misawa's death. Pay no mind to anyone with apocalyptic visions in response to Okada leaving. -G
🤦♂️That isn't a Pepsi bottle and the lighter fluid comment is a tribute to Terry Funk who once accidentally drank lighter fluid in Japan and said "this water tastes like shit." Some historical knowledge would be nice.
This was about Tenryu leaving All Japan for SWS. And everything ended up turning out fine for All Japan as they pushed young talent. I guess Naito is gonna have to be the Jumbo in all of this though.
Don't worry we'll massively benefit from this when we finally beat the Super J-Cast after losing to them three times and I have to run after Joel for a handshake when he rolls out of the ring right after the finish
Saitos vs. Kento & Yuma might end up being a criminally overlooked match. I thought I was on an island with how much I loved it, but the few I've know who have seen it loved it too. Definitely worth a watch and leave a rating on Cagematch if you can to get it into the matchguide.
Have to get this off my chest: Punk was terminated for assaulting a co-worker. There's no excusing that in 2023, especially in pro wrestling which still needs its workplace to come into the 21st century in many ways in order to be taken more seriously... -G
Wrote this just over two years ago. It holds up remarkably well despite some departures, but the addition of Yuma Anzai and Ryo Inoue are taking things in an ever bigger direction than I would've guessed... -G
Very savvy move of All Japan to offering their streaming service free for April. You get all but two Champion Carnival shows for free. Then if you want to see the last night of block action and the finals in May then you have to pay.

Given how much heat he's been generating when he shows up somewhere outside his own promotion, Kento is my leading candidate for most charasmatic this year.

I bring this up because there's not a lot of Inokiism/IGF guys out there available. They could turn Hideki I guess. Keisue Okuda is another who's just working tiny indies right now. And Masakatsu Funaki hasn't been in NOAH since September.
Jake Lee's match tomorrow against Marufuji is the biggest match of his career. It's the biggest venue he's main evented and his most high profile opponent in a singles match.

, there's an account whose name is just numbers posting my AJPW reviews into the matches (they did this with someone else's Triplemania review too) while giving high ratings to WWE TV shows and low ones to AEW shows -G
Korakuen Hall show celebrating the 70th anniversary of wrestling on NTV on February 9 which will be broadcast on TV which will feature AJPW & NOAH wrestlers
Naoya Nomura update. His body held up well after his return match in December. He's even formed a unit, Nomura Army with other wrestlers at Capture International. Can't help but feel Nomura is going to comeback full time, but the question is, where?
