Cleaned up the old teleportation portal demo. Fixed the stutter when your character passed through the portal + made the portal parts respect collision so you can walk through them from behind.

Out of curiousity I wanted to see how bad the catalog bot reuploading problem was. I wrote a quick little program that goes through a search criteria and finds the first 30 unique items (e.g. not reuploads). Here are my results:

Years ago I started making a game called "Silhouette" in which the goal was to stay in the shadow of parts. At the time I had to give up on this project b/c I had to render the shadows myself & it was too expensive. Luckily now we have shadow map. This is a lot of fun! #RoblxoDev

I've been working on this neat little tool for converting psd files into UI. Big thanks to @Sonar_Games for providing me with a test psd. Also, yes, it can automatically upload the ui images to the site, but it takes to long to go through approval to show in a video.

This is not inverse kinematics. It's a freeform animation blend. This is a feature I'd REALLY like to see build into the engine and clearly it's possible.

I rewrote the character animate script (R6 & R15) from scratch. It's strictly typed and has useful interfaces for use on NPCs. Overall much more pleasant imo than the vanilla character animate. Check it out if you're interested!

Working on rewriting the character controller I released almost a year ago. A lot of camera improvements thanks to goldenstein64, but also a revamp of the API. Coming in the next day or two assuming I don't find any huge bugs.

Engineers have inadvertantly given us the tools to have clip descendants work with rotated UI elements. So how long until it's a built in feature? I feel like "it's too hard" isn't an excuse anymore. GUI is serverly limited in general on the platform.

I wanted to make a module that I could use to record character movement so I can play it back in game as part of a tutorial. It only stores the HRP's cframe and humanoid state meaning I can make it work w/ any humanoid description (it also saves a lot of memory this way).

I was finding CSG convex decomposition a tiny bit crusty so I wrote something that autogenerates the collision and render model from wedges. Speeds up level creation a lot!

All I'm doing here is adjusting the size and postion of one frame with some lerps and math. It runs buttery smooth. However, if I try to do the same transition with the TweenService I might as well turn my computer into a jet engine b/c it lags like crazy. Excuse me what?!?

This is all done in-engine in a very hacky way, but I was messing around with ways to get a text glyph's accurate bounding box. I'd love for Roblox to add better support for something like this in the future! #RobloxDev
