This morning, officers responded to a cow running on I-285 in Dunwoody. It was determined the cow fell out of a trailer and began running down the interstate. With the assistance of a citizen with a rope, Officers were able to safely capture the cow and get it back to it's owner.
I have a question.... Emergency rooms across Georgia are seeing 7+ hour wait times due to the COVID-19 pandemic as hospitals fill to capacity. Why would you even want to consider doing the Crate Challenge right now?? 🤔
We are aware of a planned peaceful protest in the Perimeter Mall area today. The DPD absolutely supports and encourages peaceful assemblies. We encourage protestors to stay on the sidewalk and to respect the rights of businesses and property owners.
At 1:24pm, we received calls regarding an explosion at the Arrive Apartments. We are on scene with the Dekalb Co. and Sandy Springs Fire Dept. This is a very active scene and the cause of the explosion is under investigation.

A threat was made on SM from an individual threatening to shoot up his school in Dunwoody. We notified the DeKalb County School Police. The same I.P. address from outside the US made multiple threats across the country. We are confident there is no credible threat in Dunwoody.

About 1140, officers pulled over a vehicle on Ashford Dunwoody at 285. The driver fled, dragging one of our officers onto 285. The officer fell to the ground on 285. The suspect was pursued and captured. Our officer is in stable condition receiving treatment at an area hospital.
