Just recieved word that we've secured a fully funded scholarship for an MRes student in the new year to investigate the evolutionary psychology of harassment! Partly funded by the Welsh Government. Will you be that student?! Watch this space for the advert!

I have met several people caught in a pattern of one-night stands. When asked to describe their ideal partner, it's clear they're applying their short-term strategy (Who do I want to sleep with?) to their goal of having a committed relationship.

@primalpoly Reminded me of a related thought I've had floating around for a while now. In the UK, DI families used to be a nice hack to give you more resources than your SI neighbours. But now the economy has adjusted and DI has become the default which means if you're SI, you're screwed.

Recieved good news today that I've been promoted to Senior Lecturer. This makes me happy! You know... for a day. Then the crippling imposter syndrome will return and I'll be looking at the AP criteria! Until then.. champagne.
