A British court in a transgender case ruled that belief in the Bible is incompatible with human dignity. That is how far England has gone and how it demonstrates that all Britain needs a Great Awakening.
Louise is now out of surgery; it lasted approximately one hour. I talked to the surgeon. He is very happy, he said it was “perfect”. We are so thankful. Thank YOU for your prayers!
My friend J John gave me this idea - to send a one minute video every day while we are in this great world crisis. Please share this with your friends. Be encouraged: God is up to something - BIG. The end result will be the Great Revival we have longed for. Be encouraged!
It is my view that a Great Awakening is around the corner, that it will lead to a shake-up and wake-up of the church and society unlike anything seen in our day.
I worry most that the Bible is not read by Christians. I would do anything that would succeed in getting people to read and believe God’s word. The Bible not only contains God’s word; it IS God’s word.
Louise is home from a successful operation. We are utterly convinced that God honored the prayers of many people for her in recent weeks. Many many many thanks and glory to God
Never in my lifetime have I seen such vitriolic and vicious hatred toward the God of the Bible as in our day. The battle is getting hotter. Will you stand up or retreat?
My wife Louise is 80 today. The photo was taken last Sunday - sitting at the desk of Dr. Michael Youseff of Atlanta’s Church of the Apostles, whom both of us love and adore.
Happy Birthday!
The Chinese government have allowed three of my books to be published in Chinese: Total Forgiveness, Totally Forgiving Ourselves, Totally Forgiving God. They are now available all over China.
Please pray for me that I will be overruled by the Lord in accepting and declining invitations. I am so honored that at my age I am still wanted in various places, but I need Divine wisdom. Thank you.
Today my daughter Melissa and I leave Nashville for Tel Aviv. She has never traveled with me before, nor has she been to Israel; we are so excited; pray for us as this is a major event in my ministry - Feast of Tabernacles.
May I suggest a New Year’s Resolution to you? Resolve to be a thankful person. Before you go to sleep each night in 2019, think of THREE THINGS YOU ARE THANKFUL FOR.
One of the things Bill Johnson and I have learned about each other in the last few days: we are closer theologically than we realized. One thing is for certain; God is up to something and I can say this: I respect Bill very much.
I get weighed every morning (to stay at 168 pounds or 12 stone), I exercise every morning and do 21 push-ups but not quite at Olympic standard - and yet not too bad for being 84 I think. I'm sure this is why I am able to still travel the way I do.
A ninety year old saint once said to my mother when she was a teenager: “I have served the Lord so long now that I can hardly tell the difference between a blessing and a trial”. Let that grip you.
Today we will attend a luncheon with Franklin Graham. I have stood by him from the beginning. So many do not welcome Franklin here in England. I stand with him.
If I am totally honest, any measure of anointing I presently have is traceable almost entirely to trials in my life - not people laying hands on my head (although I always welcome this).
Louise and I are having our first holiday (no preaching) in many years; we are spending this weekend in Rome. Here we are at Piazza Navona having supper.
There is no doubt in my mind that the coronavirus is no accident but a part of God’s purpose; it is the beginning of a wake-up call to get our attention to turn to Him.
Never have I needed prayer so much as I do at the present time; I have been asked to speak on the issue of transgenderism in Jerusalem shortly - at the Feast of Tabernacles.
Louise and I are in Fitzgerald, Georgia for the next few days. My step mother Abbie (aged 103) died Sunday from COVID. She will be buried next to my father who died (aged 93) in 2002. Your prayers during this time are greatly appreciated.
How many Americans do you suppose would come to church every morning at 5:00 am to hear the teaching and preaching of the Word before they go to work? Not many! These Koreans are amazing!
I was interviewed Sunday by BBC radio on why the nation should pray in this time of Brexit crisis. My reply: three things are absent in leadership from top to bottom: wisdom, authority and the fear of God in the land.
This morning I delivered my address on Creation and especially Genesis 1:27. I stressed heterosexual marriage, the need for children having a father and mother. I pray that God will bless what I said. I think it was much appreciated.
We thank for God Donald Tump’s call for a National Day of Prayer. I wish Britain had a leader - secular or religious - that would be fearless and request same for UK.
I am privileged to sit between four people - in their late 80s and 90s - who were converted during the 1949 Hebredes Revival. It goes to show that young people in their teens and early 20s were converted at that time. Oh how that is needed today!!!!
I have a rhema word for all my “followers”: chase after a rhema word and you’ll likely never get it; seek God in Scripture and He will give you a rhema word when you need it.
We are now in our flat in London. Some may like to know that two movies were made here: part of James Bond film “Spectre” was filmed in our living room and the Portobello market featured in Nottinghill is a five minute walk from here.
Louise and I are in Hong Kong. Today is our 60th wedding anniversary. We were married 60 years ago today in Sterling, Illinois. Please see photos and blog!
We are home! It would seem we got home via Chicago last night in the nick of time - TR (who had come to go to Qatar with me), Louise and me. THANK YOU THANK YOU for your prayers.
Today (21 September) is the 3rd day after my heart surgery; I am recuperating nicely, will go to my home church tomorrow (First Baptist Hendersonville).
I’m home in Hendersonville, Tn after the busiest two weeks of the busiest month of the busiest year of my life. How good is the God we adore - that at 83 I can do this!
A British doctor lost his job recently because of his belief that all humankind is either male or female - as recorded in Genesis 1:27. I am in final stages of my preparation of an address on this subject in Jerusalem in a few days.
I am not ashamed of the Gospel; of the God of the Bible; of the Father of Jesus; of the Holy Spirit and of those who uphold these truths. We are all in this together. Glory to God for His goodness and mercy.
The doctrine of sanctification in the New Testament can be summed up: it is the doctrine of GRATITUDE. We live holy lives not to earn Heaven but show we are thankful we are going there.
I have been asked to begin my ministry in Israel on Monday, speaking at a Communion Service at the Garden Tomb to begin the Feast of Tabernacles; please pray that I will be a blessing.
Thank you, thank you indeed, for your prayers for me in recent days. The heart surgery was successful and I am doing fine; I leave for Miami in order to preach at North Palm Beach, Florida Sunday.
I arrived in England today. My friend James Ray will drive me to the venue where J John’s Evangelism Conference is held. This will be the third time in four years J John has invited me to do this - a great honor.
I have begun praying today for Boris Johnson, Prime Minister of Great Britain, for his wisdom, success - and also for his salvation. He is a product of common grace, but he needs to be saved!
I have preached for 40 years that we must dignify the trial; we are having to practice this now. Louise is in great sciatica pain. Please pray for her.
Suggestion: always tell God things you are thankful for. Make a resolution that throughout 2020 you will thank God for at lease three things every day. God loves gratitude but hates ingratitude.
Lunch today at The Old Inn, Crawfordsburn, N Ireland, where C. S. Lewis and Joy had their honeymoon - in 1958, the same year that Louise and I were married!
Since my 84th birthday I have read Psalm 84 every day. It encouraged me when I needed a heart valve replacement last September; with the coronavirus a threat to the elderly, I take courage again!
