One of my cancer patients w/ a complete response to chemo died of COVID. Desaturated for >24 hrs in a small hospital w/ inadequate facilities. Tried many tertiary hospitals all around but no vacancy. When there was finally a slot, the patient died just before the ambulance came.

@theskinsensei there's actually logic behind why the colored layer should be outside. the COLORED layer is FLUID-REPELLENT while the WHITE layer is ABSORBENT. gusto ba natin na ung absorbent layer ang nasa labas? pag natalsikan ka ng laway, kakapit na siya. so, colored layer out for protection.

Heard a Bible passage from a popular supplement ad on the radio. The topic: Sin. The example (out of so many other things): a person living w/ #HIV . It's already 2021 & there's NO place for this kind of stigma & blame. HIV is NOT a sin or form of divine punishment. #HIVAwareness

June is National No Smoking Month. Cigarette #smoking is the single biggest risk factor for developing #LungCancer , and exposure to secondhand smoke can also increase this risk for nonsmokers by 30%. #lcsm

Gift of life ❤️ My mom's 10 y/o dog died last month, causing her so much grief. Muffy was my 1st gift to her from my 1st ever salary during residency. Now, 1 of my patients gave this puppy, Barley, w/c will become my mom's new baby. Thank you to my ever so thoughtful patients! ❤️
