After 36.5 years of cooking and serving meals to students & staff alike, Mrs Waterhouse retires today! 1984-2021. She has brightened many a day with her sunny outlook. Wishing her a long, happy and enjoyable retirement. 🏅🎉
Today we held the most amazing culture day at DCO! The atmosphere was amazing throughout the day and all students looked absolutely fabulous in their cultural dress. TEAMDCO💜

Today we held interviews for Head Boy and Head Girl at DCO! Mr Patterson and Mr Khan had a tough job choosing between candidates. Those who were successful in interviews will now face whole school elections on 1.10.21

Day 3 in Loch Eil - A wet and very windy day in Scotland but everyone is having a brilliant time out in boats today after walking and camping out last night.
Congratulations to our very first student council on being elected to office! Hassan Zamier is our very first Head Boy, Harrison Mills -Deputy Head boy, Amirah Dawood- Head Girl and Wania Nazir - Deputy Head Girl! We are so proud of all of you and can't wait to get started!

Year 11 Geography students recently visited Leeds to study the impacts of urban regeneration. A great opportunity for the students to put their geographical skills into practise and learn outside of the classroom.
The academy will be reopen to all students on Thursday 27 February. Students are expected to arrive at the academy for the normal start time of 8.20am. Thank you to all our families, staff and external agencies for their support and assistance
