I invest in BTC.
We live on Social Security and pensions.
Retired Tuesday.
Sleep in
Brisk walk
Check investments
Balance all checking / credit cards in budget
Grill for dinner
Thatโs it! Being retired is the best.
Have a great, productive day everyone!
How many of you got through Christmas with no credit card debt?
Or, did you use your credit cards to capture rewards and then paid them off?
Just curious.
Sold my $TSLA position today at an 8% gain. 150 shares.
Mr. Musk is getting way too political and I feel in the long run, it will hurt the stock.
I may or may not buy back in at some point. For now, I am glad to be out.
YieldMax. Iโm out.
Sucked it up and sold all my holdings for a loss today.
Proceeds went to $FEPI and $JEPQ.
I think these two will do much better in the long run.
Iโm curious. How old are you?
Iโll start. Iโm 66, and I do appreciate all of the support from those of you that are younger.
I thought it might be hard for me to fit in here. But Iโve made some great connections and look for to more!
๐๐
Leased a new car today!
My wife leased a 2023 Honda Passport Elite today.
$48,500 car and the payments are $500 per month. Three year lease.
So goes against the grain here. But we can afford it so why not!
Please feel free to flame away.
Options update.
I have a $3,000 $HOOD account where I am learning options trading. So small itโs usually one contract at a time.
Here is the latest year to date. Not much but Iโm learning.
Welcome and thank you new followers!

I still play a little with BTC, ETH. and HNT.

@TeslaBoomerMama
Sorry but Iโm going to vote against this.
His performance is dismal and the stock price shows this.
Bring back the days where we all made good money and I will change my mind.
About me:
66 years old
Married to the same woman for 33 years
Retired at 64. I could have sooner but I liked my job and made good money
Dividend investor for 35 years
I still play a little with BTC and ETH.

Biden vs Trump - again.
Itโs sad our country has come to this.
I try to stay non political here, but if you think about it, neither one is a good candidate.
At age 67, Iโve voted many elections and this one is downright pathetic.
Flame away.
I own this Rolex. Itโs been in the safety deposit box for the last three years.
I also have an Apple Watch Ultra that I wear daily.
Should I sell this Rolex or let it appreciate in value?
Accumulation Days?
Why at age 66 do I still feel like I need to accumulate more assets?
- good health
- great family
- plenty of retirement money
I guess I'm still addicted........
My current tobacco holdings:
$MO: 1,610.8442 shares
$BTI: 1,118.2149 shares
$PM: 446.5997 shares
Some hate these, but they pay great dividends and over the years have made me quite a bit of Money.
All dripping at this point.
Iโm now down $2515 on my $TSLA investment. Making progress. ๐
As soon as Iโm even, if we get there, Iโm selling. Mr. Musk has lost his focus and itโs sad.
Iโll also be selling my Model Y. Musk needs to stay out of politics. Period.
Read the news folks.
So $TSLA missed.
One of the things that I have learned while holding this stock is you need to focus on the long term, not the short term.
Ignore the price ups and downs. The stock will do what itโs going to do.
150 shares here and no plans to sell or buy. Enjoying the fun!
Happy Friday everyone!!
Sorry I have not posted much. Life is busy.
I hope you all enjoy an excellent weekend!
I turn 67 on June 1. Guess Iโll need to update my profile. ๐
A day in the retired life!
-Got out of bed at 0800
-Took a long walk with my wife
-Going to an awesome Christmas Store in St. Paul
-Then headed to a movie
-Dinner after the movie
The daily grind is worth the endgame!
We all make investing mistakes!
I bought 50 shares of $COST many years ago for $185 per share
My R.I.P. Dad thought I was nuts for doing that. Way too costly he said
I rode it up to $540 and sold it. Still kick my self for doing that.
Learned a lesson! Never again!
Itโs weird to think that at the end of this month, I will have been retired for three years!
Iโve lost weight
Eat much better
Exercise
Lowered my blood pressure
Just feel more healthy
Lots of you are trying to get to this point. Keep working. Itโs all worth it!
I see many "buy the dip" posts.
But, if you have no money to buy?
1. Just chill and don't worry about it.
2. Do NOT borrow money so you can buy.
This dip, like all others prior WILL pass!
Level heads folks and do not get caught up in the noise.
2100 followers!
Thank you everyone for following me.
I tend to speak my mind here and Iโm aware that some do not like what I have to say about certain thingsโฆ
But I appreciate you and you need to know that. ๐๐
One of my biggest investing mistakes was selling $COST. It had run up to $590 share price so I took profit. My cost basis was $185 per share.
And look at it today. Guess I owe myself this.

I opened a joint account with my wife on $HOOD.
Threw $5,000 in and bought equal amounts of $QDTE and $XDTE.
Kind of disappointing that they do not offer drip on joint accounts, yet. So, I will manually reinvest until this feature is turned on.
Just got back from a long walk with my wife! It was great.
Iโm telling you, retirement is the best!

As it gets colder here in MSP, we will become mall walkers. ๐๐
$TSLA is a very popular stock here.
Iโve traded this stock since 2015. As of today, Iโm down $9500 on it and still holding.
Iโm not really an options trader but Iโm considering selling conservative calls against my shares.
$TSLA will not make you rich.
Sorry. Unpopular.
@Smartnetworth1
@thesparknyc
I think some people get so focused on retiring early that they donโt see whatโs right in front of them. Family.
My daughters and grandkids.
Good Sunday!
I have been quiet this last week due to catching Covid. It really kicked my butt.
Finally starting to feel better.
Hope everyone is enjoying a nice weekend!
$TSLA
Iโm seeing quite a bit of ๐ข๐ข
Itโs fine everyone. Just part of holding the stock. If you want to hold for the long term, you have to get used to the ups and downs.
Musk gets in the way, but long term itโs a great investment.
Patience!
Fidelity options trading. They finally updated their pages. Makes it super simple and easy to understand.
Moving away from $HOOD.
Yes, they do charge a commission, but I have a lot of money there so this will simply life somewhat.

Today was an excellent day for us here in Destin, FL.
Spent the day with my daughters, one of my son in laws, and my 10 month old grandson. He loves the beach!
@TeslaBoomerMama
Not saying that at all. You get paid for performance and he is not performing at this time.
I am a long time share holder and at one time, I was a huge fanboy.
Not so much right now but Iโm holding my 150 shares for now.
Just picked up 20 shares of $NVDA.
Cautious optimism.... Let's see what happens later today!
Small purchase for me.... But I like to start new positions small.....
Enjoyed a great meetup for brunch today with
@SandstoneStox
Dave drove six hours round trip to make this happen.
We talked ๐ฎ, investing, and family. Super nice and very smart. Truly enjoyable!
Please give him a follow and say hello! Great guy. ๐ฏ
No, the sky is not falling!
Just stick with your investing stratigies and keep moving forward.
Just a bump in the road here folks. You have to play the long game.....
Someone please explain to me:
What is all the gush about $SOFI here?
Yes they are growing. Not arguing that. But their stock price is pretty flat and does not seem to be going anywhere.
You all expect it to skyrocket someday?
You can do better.
@darrelltalksfi
On deck with everything but the used Toyota. ๐
At this point in life, we do not need to drive one of those. Iโll keep my Tesla and call it a day.
๐๐
Good day everyone!
There are many smart people here that do an excellent job posting about different ETFโs, Options, and Stocks.
For you all, Iโm thankful.
Have a great day today and do something good for yourself or someone else!!
A couple of things that Iโve learned in my 35 years of investing.
1. Be patient
2. Buy quality and never worry that you made a mistake
3. Donโt travel with the herd
Lots of influence these days. Your best bet is to research, define your risk level, and run with it.
My posting has been down this week.
Iโve been busy with a volunteer IT project at a local museum. Next week I will be busy there too.
Working on perimeter security. Keep the bad actors out!
Have a great weekend everyone!
