NOW IT’S PERSONAL So my younger brother, a psychiatric nurse currently helping out in a care home was told today two residents had died from coronavirus. The carers have no PPE. No goggles or PP3 masks.

I've spoken to dentists, therapists and hygienists from NHS AND private practice recently, and they are ALL in the same boat in their own way - hit hard financially and desperate to get back to operating near normality. I don't know of anyone who took it easy over the lockdown.

One big dental regret was never learning how to thread a Siqveland matrix band. I asked a few dental nurses over the years to show me, but they always made excuses not to. It was much later I realised that dentists who learn the secret, die in mysterious circumstances.
