Delta Flight Attendants:
Join thousands of us at to petition Delta to retract their pin policy change and implement policies that actually protect us from harassment.
This is not just about a pin or a picture—it’s about defending our dignity.
Non-unionized Delta Flight Attendants and ground employees just received notice that we'll have a 5% raise.
Unionized Delta Pilots are voting on a contract with a raise of AT LEAST 18%.
That's the power of a union contract. 🛫
The Delta AFA Steering Committee sent the following open letter to our leadership team, demanding decisive and public action in support of Delta Flight Attendants.
1/2
We are the Delta Flight Attendants who are organizing
@DeltaAFA
. We’re organizing for a real voice on the job, work rules management can’t just change & industry leading compensation to match our contribution to the industry’s most profitable airline. 1/2
As airlines continue to make record-breaking profits, Flight Attendants are fighting for higher wages & to protect our profession from Wall St.
On Feb 13th, we proudly joined nearly 100,000 Flight Attendants at 32 airports around the world to push our careers forward together.
Delta mgmt. announced this evening that Flight Attendants will be paid for boarding. It seems they are feeling the heat. Keep going! Every improvement they add now will get locked in when we vote for our union because they can’t retaliate & take it away.
Delta management is violating our privacy and potentially increasing risk to crews. Under the “New Recognition Tool” program, crew members' names will be emailed to passengers 24 hours ahead of their flight.
This morning, Delta Flight Attendants found out we’re getting a 5% increase, along with all other non-union Delta employees. Management wants us to be grateful, and that’s a problem. Here’s why 🧵
Today Delta workers from multiple workgroups - flight attendants, mechanics, ramp workers, drivers, pilots, and more - came together at ATL airport for an energizing morning of union power and worker solidarity ✊
We’re forming our union led by and for Delta Flight Attendants.
We love our jobs–and that’s why we want a union.
Forming our union will give us the legal standing we need to lock in what we love, and to negotiate all aspects of our work.
Need a card? Have questions? DM us!
Delta is about to ground hundreds of Flight Attendants heading into a busy summer travel season. Take urgent action to keep Flight Attendants on the job. Read Austin's Story
Sharing names w/ passengers in advance of a flight is unnecessary & frankly creepy. Many FAs have at least one story about a passenger who gets a little too “friendly.” For those who have dealt w/ harassment, intimidation & assault, violation of our privacy is deeply concerning.
@UAW
President
@ShawnFainUAW
is right: Delta is the wealthiest airline out there, and there’s no excuse for them to not share the fruits of their labor with the Flight Attendants who made it happen.
Record profits mean record Flight Attendant wages.
1/3
Flight Attendants immediately objected to this program. In response, mgmt added an opt-out — if you don’t want your name sent to customers in advance, you have to take complicated steps to opt out with HR and wait 5 to 7 days for a response. This is insufficient and insulting.
For those who aren't Delta Flight Attendants but would like to support our petition:
We now have a petition for community supporters!
Please sign and share with your friends—we appreciate your solidarity.
Delta management claims that this program is a way for customers to recognize great service. The reality is that this is a thinly-veiled attempt to manage us without being on the aircraft, implemented without our knowledge or input.
Hundreds of
@UNITEHERE
members are on their way home after the GA Senate runoff. They’re showing repping solidarity in the skies onboard Delta flights!

Ed is quite literally leaving us behind while we deal with this mess.
While operations are looking better today, things are far from normal — many of us are STILL far from home. 1/6
Join us in demanding that Delta end this program immediately and work with us to ensure our privacy is protected and our workplaces are safe and free from harassment.
Now, Delta is punishing ALL FAs by implementing a new policy that ONLY American flag pins are allowed. And because we don’t have a union yet, they did it unilaterally–without any input from Flight Attendants.
NEW: Delta is the last major airline without a flight attendants union—but not for long.
Delta flight attendants have launched a massive union drive that would organize 22K workers with
@AFA_CWA
.
They narrowly lost a union election in 2010 but say this time the tide has turned.
Together, we have power. After thousands of us signed our petition, spoke to flying partners on the line, & posted on social media, Delta mgmt announced they will “pause” the Customer Recognition Tool & apologized “for any undue stress the rollout of this tool may have caused.”
By silencing workers and restricting their expressions of identity, Delta is betraying its own values and setting the stage for increased harassment and discrimination. This is not just about a pin or a picture—it’s about defending our dignity.
.
@Delta
filed their 2024 proxy statement in a classic Friday night news dump. Likely hoping people wouldn’t notice the CEO’s 265% compensation increase.
If we had a union & a contract, we would have legal standing to engage the company on this issue. Today, we can only raise our voices and hope they change course. After you sign the petition, sign a card & join our campaign for voice and dignity at Delta.
We sit visibility because we're proud of our campaign and we're not scared to show it.
Visibility shows our coworkers and Delta management that we know our worth and are ready to fight for it.
DL Flight Attendants: DM us to join or find an activist in an airport lounge today!
Flight Attendants have unique roles and real concerns about how this new policy is violating our privacy and potentially creating new risks both on the planes and before and after flights.

If we’re the best in the business, we should be treated that way. The C-Suite talks down about “budget airline” SWA. Meanwhile under their new agreement*, our SWA flying partners will be earning more than us at every single step.
Record profits should mean record contracts. That’s what we’re organizing for with our Flight Attendant union. We’ll take this raise and keep organizing for the right to negotiate what we really deserve at the industry’s most profitable airline!
The Strike Authorization Ballot is closed. With a 96% participation rate & 99% of pilots voting in favor to strike, the
#DeltaPilots
have made a powerful statement to
@Delta
that we're willing to strike to secure the contract we have earned.
Delta workers deserve the right to organize without intimidation from Delta executives who are engaging in bullying, union-busting, retaliation, and the suspension of their employees for union campaigns. We must hold
@Delta
executives accountable for their anti-union tactics.
Our campaign is not just about signing a card. It’s about loving what we do together as aviation’s first responders for safety, health, security of our passengers & crew – & the means to negotiate for our fair share of the value we create at our airline.
Delta could give us all real raises, and negotiate fair contracts. After all, the airline raked in $4.6 billion last year — more than United, American, Southwest and Alaska airlines combined.
What happened? For decades, Delta Flight Attendants have proudly represented our countries of origin or heritage with flag pins. For many of us they’re a symbol of our role connecting the world and bridging cultures.
Today is Valentine's Day and at Delta that means it’s Employee Appreciation Day aka Profit Sharing Day.
Delta AFA Flight Attendants are in the lounges and airports across the system. Stop by and say hi, grab a pin, sign a card, then sign up to help secure our union.

Over the past two weeks, a massive operational meltdown has shown yet again why we need a union with a guaranteed contract and real voice on the job.

When it comes to our pay and work rules, management holds all the cards. While corporate leaders have been parading around bragging about Delta’s corporate profits, they’ve been keeping us in the dark about when — and IF — we would get a raise.
😍Love seeing the photos come through w/ Delta crews wearing

pins. It’s an exciting time to be organizing & we have real momentum. But we can’t take our foot off the gas for even a moment. Sign a card, help us secure our Flight Attendant

Not only will SWA Flight Attendants be making more than us, they have real protections and voice in their workplace, thanks to their contract. We’re at the mercy of scheduling and FSMs who are paid to watch out for management, not for us.
“While Ed was flying to Paris last night, crew were sleeping in airports across the country. Flight Attendants expect an apology and accountability,” the
@DeltaAFA
organizing committee said in a statement.
In two separate incidents, passengers who had a political objection to flight attendants’ pins took photos and posted them to social media, where FAs were doxxed and targeted with harassment.
Remember, if you didn’t see Delta AFA yesterday to sign a card (looking good DTW!), you can always head to to learn more about bringing that

heart to Delta!
Union Flight Attendants across the industry know when they’re getting raises and how much each raise will be, because they negotiated those raises in their contracts. At Delta, we have no say and no transparency in the process.
We’re working to form our union so all of us have a say in our workplace & a contract that locks in everything we love.
We’re proud to be your flying partners. We're union proud. We’re Delta proud.
Join us. Together, there’s nothing we can’t achieve. 2/2
First, Delta’s corporate social media account piled on with the harassment, giving bad actors all the excuse they needed to continue targeting individuals for participating in our long-held celebration of our cultures and values.
That’s all this raise is—another attempt to act like they’re looking out for us. They’re not.
Anything they give us today they can take away tomorrow. They can hold up our next raise, change our work rules, our pay schedules, anything they want, any time they want,
We’re organizing to build our Flight Attendant union so we have control and know what to count on for our collective future—sign a card, then sign up to help secure our union >

Some years, we don’t get any raise at all. Some years, we get whatever management feels like handing us after they’ve satisfied Wall Street. Every year, we give our all to make this airline great. See the disconnect?
This new policy is the direct result of our organizing—and a desperate attempt to prevent their other new boarding policy (D+40) from creating the kind of anger that it deserves.
Shea knows. There’s nothing like the feeling when you talk to a colleague who’s not sure about the union, and by the end of your conversation they’re signing a card. Join him as an activist, and let’s secure our union at Delta >

Today I joined the bipartisan call for Delta to stop anti-union behavior and respect the voices of their employees – including my constituents – by pledging not to interfere in any union organizing activities by adopting a neutrality agreement.

“Delta will have to explain to the public, its shareholders, and ultimately a jury why CrowdStrike took responsibility for its actions- swiftly, transparently, and constructively-while Delta did not.”
New: CrowdStrike accuses Delta of creating a “misleading narrative that CrowdStrike is responsible for Delta’s IT decisions and response to the outage.” Letter from CrowdStrike’s outside counsel:
Cruz knows. If we want to make Delta the best place to work, we need a union and a contract. It’s time for us to have a seat at the table and legal standing to negotiate our pay and working conditions.

What does Delta invest in? Delta is investing in int’l carriers, while telling us “Sorry, no raise” even as the cost of living rose dramatically in 2021. (Remember, management already gave themselves a “one-time” adjustment bonus this year.) 😒
"We know how to fix the problem. At this point at a unionized carrier, we would have had our [union] reps working with management to protect and respect our crew with a plan and clear communication. This is a crisis and there’s no time for half measures."
Delta workers met with the

This shows Delta could have been paying Flight Attendants for boarding all along. While a positive change, Flight Attendants are still being forced to fly more often thx to short staffing (how many times has mgmt offered IPY this yr?!) & biweekly pay system mgmt imposed on us.

This is the airline industry — getting reassigned, rerouted or flown into your day off happens. But it doesn’t have to “just happen.” W/o a contract, Delta mgmt. has total control to set the rules and change them on a dime in the actual operation...
