Worked on processing crayfish to EU standard. Its very tricky. Using gas means the finished product comes out white which the customer does not want. Using charcoal, firewood is not allowed for EU standard, something about cancer. Several attempts, several lab test. Cracked it.

Put everything back into the business. Need to upgrade my factory. Get a quality assurance manager and a production manager, de-risk the whole process, so that it becomes a plug and play gig. At the moment, it's still very high risk. Each shipment, I am always very tensed.

My job has taking me to most parts of Lagos. Especially the fishing communities. The level of poverty, deprivation and lack I see. The daily extortion of the danfo drivers and okada men. The lack of opportunities. This is the Lagos Tinubu built. No social mobility.

I don't think 10m a year salary is a lot of money. Not in this Lagos. One will struggle. Rent is already 3-4m. Wetin remain. Assuming school fees, feeding, vacation, cars. Its a life of struggle.

Of to work. One of the projects I set out to achieve this year was to build an industrial goods company. We process raw materials into value add for use by local industries. Been able to successfully process latex rubber into adhesives. Next is to find out what the market thinks.

Omo i have come a long way. God has been kind. In a significantly better place. I made the right call. If something aint working, drop it. At this time i was selling all my assets to fund my current venture. Sold everything. Afterwards was broke, bankrupt, in debt, depressed.

This equipment cost me 7500 pounds- it's a 500 litre cooling tank. Brings down the temperature of any liquid to 0 degrees in 20 mins. I invested in a bottling unit, 5m naira. A cold room 2m naira. Two generators. 3000 dollars as consultant fees.Tried scaling fresh juice.Disaster

My father is yoruba. My mother is igbo. Born in warri, schooled in benin, grew up in Lagos. Holidays spent with grandparents in ibadan and enugu. Was a great life. Was a very balanced life. Tribalism is just bottom barrel behaviour..... on all sides.

Spent the day in the field. Giving furniture makers our locally made adhesives made from natural rubber. Feedback been great.Only thing left is pricing. Will be setting up a 500 litre a day adhesive plant by Sept. It is my fundamental belief that we need to make things in naij.

Been able to process latex rubber into adhesives. Spent the day with furniture makers (who are the target market), asked them for feedback on my adhesives, if its as good as the imported adhesives. Response was overwhelmingly very positive. Addressable market is exciting.

Impressed with everything I have created. From exports to food and beverage to industrial goods to port logistics and operations. Next year sees me focus on building markets in UK, the rest of Europe and taking market share in the port logistics gig.

Not had the best of 2 years. Plans have not really gone as I anticipated, which is absolutely fine. Tomorrow looks very promising. Setting up a port logistics business, the prospects looks very good.
