An Edmund Rice school in the heart of Cork City since 1828. Most improved school for college progression, second in Ireland. Now enrolling boys and girls!
Very sad news from our partner school in

- a text from their students;"this place has officially disappeared many people have died the number is increasing constantly".Our students were due to go there today-thankfully they are all safe in Istanbul.

Our students lined St Patrick's Road as Jack made his last journey past the school. Eternal rest grant unto Jack, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Thank you to everyone who has called and messaged. We are all safe and enjoying an unexpected stay in Istanbul. We are thinking of all those affected by the earthquake especially our friends in Malatya ❤️

Best of luck to the 10 delegates from our school representing teachers at ASTI convention - surely a record for one school? & a fitting tribute to our former colleague Paddy Mulcahy (RIP) who our local branch is named after❤️

Delighted to be the first school visited by the Lord Mayor of Cork, Dr. John Sheehan, who marked the 100th anniversary of mayorial visits by presenting us with portraits of former Lord Mayors Terence MacSwiney and Tomás Mac Curtain.

Instead of a standard virtual open night we let RTE make a documentary about reopening the school. 'A Big Week in September' airs tomorrow at 9.35 on RTE 1.

A blast from the past! Great to meet up with former Principal George Duncan today. A lot of our success today is the result of the hard work of the past staff members of our fantastic school.
We are thrilled to announce the expansion of our school with an investment in excess of €5 million from the Department of Education. This is an incredible development for our students and the wider community.

Students and staff doing okay in Turkey, we are thinking of them…our sympathies too to the school community they were travelling to and all those affected by the earthquake. Awful.

Today, every student in the school was trained in CPR thanks to past pupil Barry O Donoghue, Cork City Community First Responders, the national fire and ambulance service and the Gardai. Hopefully this is a skill that our students will never have to use.

It is with great sadness that we have learned about the death of our school's former Deputy Principal, Mr Pat Murphy. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Great to see our Boys' soccer teams back up and running and well done to the teachers who give up their free time to run these extra curricular activities 👏👏👏
We had a fantastic day at our end of Covid restrictions celebration. Young people have missed out on so much since schools closed on March 13th 2020 - it was great to see them enjoying themselves. Huge thanks to our DJ
