As the Victorian Bar Association has said today, Labor’s Misinformation Bill would lead to the censorship of the free speech of Australians. Democracies move forward through debate - not by the Government telling us what we can and cannot say.
Under Labor’s shocking Misinformation Bill, Government Ministers can personally order Misinformation Investigations and Misinformation Hearings. This has no place in a democracy.
The Albanese Government wants to ram through its Misinformation Bill, and is giving people just one week to make comments on it. This is an abuse of process and an absolute disgrace.
Ms Tingle's reported comments about Mr Dutton are extraordinary and completely indefensible. 1/3
In addition to her comments about Mr Dutton, Ms Tingle has made further statements about her views on the Albanese Government and the Coalition. While every Australian has a right to
The racist conduct at St Kilda yesterday must be condemned in the strongest terms. There is no place for racism in our nation. We are the most successful multi-cultural society in the world, and we have achieved that by working together to build a stronger Australia.
Labor and the Greens have walked into the Parliament and voted against legislation that will keep Australians safe from non-citizen criminals. Whose side are they on?

Labor’s forgotten that Australians have access to Facebook. Before the election they ran a social media campaign against changes to letter deliveries, now they want to cut them by 50%. With

Labor Minister
@MRowlandMP
has handpicked a list of sites for mobile black spots, with 74% of those locations in Labor seats. Communities who aren’t on the Minister’s list are not allowed to apply. It’s a sordid political saga and a clear misuse of taxpayer funds.
Labor say they are “proud” to vote against legislation that will help the Government deport non-citizens who commit serious crimes against Australians. Disgraceful.

Under Labor’s Misinformation Bill, people suspected of being involved in misinformation can be fined more than $9,000 per day if they don’t attend for questioning by Government officials. This extraordinary coercive power is yet another staggering feature of this appalling Bill.
Very sad to hear of the passing of Jim Molan. He was a highly principled and decent man who loved Australia and never stopped fighting for it. My thoughts are with his family at this very difficult time.
It was an honour to open Wandi Nerida on the Sunshine Coast today - Australia’s first residential eating disorder recovery centre. This centre will help many people suffering from eating disorders, and their families. More details here:

Today in parliament the Albanese Government was still trying to defend its disturbing misinformation bill. The Coalition will fight against it every step of the way.

Words can't capture the horror of the mass murder in Israel. And they also can't capture the horror that some Australians wanted to celebrate it. Authorities should ensure that those responsible for the vile behaviour at the Opera House are held to account.

We now know that Labor’s shocking Bill will allow politicians to personally order investigations into ‘misinformation’. This is completely unacceptable and is yet another reason why this Bill must not proceed.

Our Government scrapped Labor’s out of control 457s that were hurting Australian workers. Labor granted 126,000 temporary skilled visas in 2012/13. We granted about half as many - 65,000 in 2017/18. You can’t trust Labor on immigration.
Hey
