This is Stella, my 3-year old Bernese Mountain Dog. Recently, she was certified as a therapy dog through Alliance of Therapy Dogs. This morning, she visited staff at
@tgh
. Then she tagged along with me to the
@TBLightning
morning skate and stayed for Power Lunch from the booth.
As shared today on
@TBLightning
Power Lunch, I have written a novel! Blind Squirrel is a story of family, loss, love, and hope. And yes, there's some hockey in it too. Publication date is March 31. More details coming soon -- stay tuned!

In the end, that's the biggest storyline from the series. TB got contributions from everyone. All players pulled on the rope in the same direction. That's what it takes to win the Stanley Cup. The Lightning now have done it for 2 straight years. Congrats!
"This was a strong, overall performance for the
@TBLightning
, and it helped them complete a perfect 4-0 homestand. In every area, they held an advantage: shots on goal, shot attempts, scoring chances, special teams play, and, of course, goals scored."
βBack-to-back Stanley Cups! The Lightning got it done in G5 just as they did in their previous 4 series-clinching wins. They put on a defensive clinic, received key, timely saves from Andrei Vasilevskiy, and posted a shutout to eliminate their opponent.β
βThanks to an incredible goaltending performance from Andrei Vasilevskiy and some timely scoring, the
@TBLightning
were able to begin their key five-game road trip with a victory.β
I am truly humbled, and I am so appreciative. We sold 91 copies of Blind Squirrel yesterday -- you guys wiped out my stash! Temporarily. Ordering more today. But they won't be available in the
@TBLightning
team store until the new batch arrives. I'll keep you posted. Thank you!
"Players expressed disappointment about allowing those 3rd-period goals. But their response after each of the goals was critical. In the end, the
@TBLightning
outplayed NJ and got the win they deserved."
βThe
@TBLightning
began their three-game road trip with a victory and extended their season-long winning streak to five games in the process. They did it (primarily) with team defense and goaltending.β
"This was a night of milestones. Mitchell Chaffee scored his first NHL and Steven Stamkos picked up his 1,100th NHL point. As for the game itself, the
@TBLightning
outplayed the Arizona Coyotes and were deserving of the victory."
"The
@TBLightning
took control in the 2nd period. They scored 3 PPG. It was also the period in which Emil Lilleberg delivered a thunderous open-ice check. The hit was one of the gameβs signature moments, and it helped the Lightning elevate their play."
"The
@TBLightning
were wrapping up a 5-game road trip by playing the 2nd half of a back-to-back against a rested opponent. And they had to do it without either Victor Hedman or Brayden Point. Still, they prevailed."
"This was one of the
@TBLightning
's best defensive performances of the season. While it was a game that didnβt feature many scoring chances, the Lightning were able to generate more of them. Importantly, they were able to convert on two of them."
Absolutely gutted by this news. Dave was not only an outstanding broadcaster, he was an amazing, generous person. Iβm grateful that I had the opportunity to know him.
Heartbreaking news:
#Rays
radio broadcaster Dave Wills died early this morning. He was 58, had been with team since 2005, and immensely popular and well-liked. Team canceled todayβs schedule broadcast, will have a moment of silence before game.
"It was not a pretty win for the
@TBLightning
. They overcame a subpar first period, twice rallied from deficits during regulation, and came from behind once more in the shootout. Pretty or not, theyβll bank their two points."
"The
@TBLightning
overwhelmed the Sharks. They brought a high work ethic and managed the puck well; consequently, they dominated possession. In addition, they moved the puck quickly and repeatedly created scoring chances. Six went into the San Jose net.
"There were several storylines from Game Four, including the dramatic return of Mikhail Sergachev. But the biggest one was this: the
@TBLightning
staved off elimination with a 6-3 victory."
"This was a tale of 2 games. New York decisively dictated play for the first 30 minutes, building a 2-0 lead in the process. But the
@TBLightning
pushed back in the final 30. They shifted momentum, outscored NY, 6-1, and put 2 crucial points in the bank."
"The
@TBLightning
delivered a much tighter defensive performance versus the Kings than they did against the Devils. But in the end, theyβve banked a total of four points β and thatβs the most important takeaway from the first 2 games of the second half."
