It was great to sit down with

and chat about my Kerry career. Highs, lows & what it was all about.

What It Was All About - The Sports Chronicle.
The Dublin/funding debate isn’t going to go away but was there any need for it this week. The players created history & they’re damn good players now let them enjoy it.
Wouldn’t a double header in pairc ui chaoimh be incredible.
Kerry Vs Mayo & Cork Vs Dublin. A full house in a brilliant new stadium that would be rocking.
I’ve been asked 3 times today if we’ll win the weekend and if I’ll be starting... too embarrassed to say I’m retired so I just said “fingers crossed” 🤞🏻😂

Just saw a video of a young lad in cork getting stabbed while he lay bleeding on the ground. What’s wrong with young lads? Are they too stupid to think about the consequences?
I’m excited! I feel like a kid, I want to go out and buy a United jersey with Ronaldo on the back….. too much? Yeah, I need to get myself together!

What a moment for these two boys! Probably thought their Kerry careers were over before this season but made massive impacts today. Well done

Blown away by all the nice comments. Thank you to my teammates, opposition & GAA people around the country! Feeling incredibly overwhelmed. 💚💛

Head is melted 🤯
From the start the restrictions haven’t made sense & contradicted each other. Majority of people have done what they were told but nearly two years down the line we’re still dealing with nonsensical rubbish.
When is the next election?
Looking at people’s All Star selections I find it amazing how Stephen O’Brien is in POTY category before final and not in All star team after. Quieter in the final but best wing forward all year by a mile.
This isn’t a Dublin Croke Park rant but I saw a clip of the Dublin subs doing their runs on the pitch after the match today. No prob with it, it had to be done but we (Kerry) were always hunted from the pitch trying to do the same thing. 🤔🤔🤔
I’ve seen this picture shared a lot today and still can’t wrap my head around it. The body language/facial expressions are pathetic. Playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world and the look of self pity is embarrassing.
Just back in the hotel, heart rate back to normal. Wow, what a way to win it! I think we were due that. David, Seanie outstanding & when we really needed someone Paudie was incredible.
Well done boys

Why they don’t just call games off during the week when they know the weather is going to be like this is beyond me. It would save the players, management & supporters a lot of hassle & confusion. Last minute as usual.
So what is probably the biggest weekend of the year for the majority of counties, so much at stake in all 4 divisions and the lack of televised action is pathetic. Best & most competitive competition in the calendar.
#AllianzLeagues
Ireland is a funny ole country. Amazing the amount of GAA, soccer, athletics or whatever other sports fans/journalists getting enjoyment off the rugby defeat.

What is the point in umpires?
Few things stand out here.
Ref is in a good position to see it, one umpire in position to see it but what is umpire doing behind the goal 🤔
Strange interview and one I think he’ll regret. Great to have the club medals but there’s a huge difference in standard between club & county. Easier to point at what’s wrong instead of being part of the change.
The long road home from Cavan made all the shorter when your manager jumps on board to thank them. Great to see

This is just ridiculous, an adult suing because she fell off a swing. With or with out alcohol if you fall off a swing you should just be embarrassed with yourself. A person of power only encouraging others to claim for their own mistakes.
What a journey it’s been with this guy! The big man with the most infectious personality. Lucky enough to play with some legends & he is one of them but he’s out on his own as the best teammate you could ever have. Thanks

Phone conversation with
@pgal10
me: I’ll be in Dublin next week I’ll ring you, we’ll meet up & get a coffee!
Paul: nah you’re fine don’t bother!
Me: ehhhhhhh ummmmmmm
Then bursts his hole laughing!

Congratulations David Clifford on becoming the new Kerry captain. He’s already proved in his short Kerry career he has the temperament & maturity to lead from the front. 💚💛
On present form there isn’t a better footballer in the country than Sean O’Se at the moment. What’s most impressive in the 3 Kerry games I’ve seen is his leadership qualities at such a young age.
The
#cluxton
debate is very unfair on Rory Beggan who had an outstanding season but with the positional changes for some players no reason Cluxton couldn’t be named in the backs. Playmaker.
Rewatching league Sunday & Colm O’Rourke’s take was absolutely ridiculous. It’s actually maddening to hear him, this whole the pleasure to play in big matches 🤯 comparing club players to county, is he forgetting county players are also club players.
Scrapping league finals would be such a disaster. For so many counties not just lower divisions it’s the best chance of playing in a final in Croke Park and climbing the steps of the Hogan Stand. GAA needs more big days not less!
What a game last night, both teams exceptionally fit with only a few weeks under the belt. Clifford again proved age is just a number but biggest positive for me was seeing James O’D back looking like so sharp!
These comments that Kerry would want to concentrate on the final and forget about the ref... do people realise that the noise regarding the ref isn’t coming from the Kerry dressing room 🤔
Killarney woman giving out that
@rosspoint_1
can’t just pick and choose when we open because we closed for two days due to lack of staff. 3/4 of our staff are gone back to school and college & she then had the cheek to say we should pay them more. Got to love the experts

With the Super 8’s over & two cracking semi finals to look forward too. The only thing I’m certain of is that
@starryboy14
has become the best dressed man since he stopped paying for clothes.

no more flannel tracksuits 😜
Can someone explain how some young lads heading to America to play GAA are turned away as they’ve boots in their bag or texts on their phone and inter county players have it all over the media? 🤔
Ronaldo having to join Al-Nassr is exactly why you need those closest to you to be brutally honest & tell you what you don’t want to hear. Disappointing way for him to wind down his career after the way he left United and spoke about continuing at the top level.
@MunsterGAA
pandemonium outside Páirc Uí Rinn tonight. A big group of older folk having to ask other random people to buy match tickets on their phones online in order to get in to the U20 game. And the ticket office window shut. Why can't we sell tickets at the venue?
Really hope Ronaldo comes on and has a big impact on the game. Too many people especially media outlets getting enjoyment out of one of the best players of all time after 20 years at the top declining.
This was always one of the worst days in the Kerry dressing room every year! Schools finished and the smug teachers swanning in done for the summer 🙈🙈🙈
I’ve learnt two things during the pandemic:
1.) The Rugby lads love to BBQ & are all bloody good at it
2.)
@peterom6
is some gardener, new career after rugby maybe?
Its been productive!
People making a big deal of what Keane said after the game “box office, peak Roy Keane” as far as I can see he’s literally calling it as he and most others see it. F*** me United are depressing 😔
I’m genuinely so gutted for Ole, he loves the club and he’s doing everything he can but it’s obviously not enough. Really hope the work he’s done up to this point isn’t forgotten.
#mufc
David Moran absolutely lorded midfield today, Jason Foley outstanding at the back, Clifford different class up front and Stephen O’Brien continued his player of the year form. 💚💛
Going into matches I was always told “Control the controllable’s” it’s not bad advice for the next 6 weeks. Don’t let things out of your control get you down or angry. 👍
Ridiculous call, it’ll be a disgrace if red card isn’t rescinded. Complete non incident, if that’s a red card & suspension we might as well pack it in now.
Dr. Crokes midfielder Johnny Buckley is tonight appealing his red card from the All-Ireland club semi-final against Mullinalaghta.
TV cameras failed to catch the incident, but new footage has now emerged.
Connolly back starting! Great for GAA fans to watch him in action.... but surely there’s a few Dublin players a bit put out that he’s in after only two weeks & they’ve been training all year & last year.
3 things I knew I’d go through during the lockdown
• tea bags
• eggs
• fruit
3 things I’m going through rapidly I didn’t expect:
• chocolate (giant buttons)
• bread
• Wine

Another great man gone! Arrived on the scene like a force of nature straight from minors. Leaves with a nice collection of medals, young player of the year, great memories and a professional career. That’s no bad innings. Well done my friend

Top of the league after 17 games after the start they had is some going. The fact that it’s annoying Liverpool fans is all we need. Back in the conversation at last!!! 😜
I honestly can’t understand bringing Rashford on anymore. He doesn’t work hard or even look like he wants to ball, great opportunity to put in a ball late on and went back to Matic.
