Your uninterrogated racism will lead to bad craft. They’re not mutually exclusive. So over discussions of racism in a text being shut down w/ “we need to talk about the craft.” Uninterrogated racism leads to character underdevelopment, weak symbolism, contrivance & plain failure.

Professors, when your students signed up for school this semester, they did not know that we’d be in a long-term pandemic, only interacting w/ other human beings virtually, confined & isolated in ways that disrupt our cognition. The goal is learning, not elite stress performance.
