Goodnight Pac-12 football
You were so loved.
For every bonkers call made by a Pac-12 ref
For every INSANE After Dark game that exploded in a chaos no slumbering East coast writer would see
For 100+ years of in-state rivalries like Washington vs Wazzu or U$C vs Integrity
RIP
RIP to my dear friend and mentor, the
@PopTartsBowl
Mascot.
I find solace in knowing thatโin being eatenโyou achieved your most precious goal.
This loss is bitter and sweet, sugary and tart. Just like you ๐๐ซ

Fun fact! The โ10โ in the Big10 doesnโt reference the number of teams in the conference, but rather the number of states that have limited womenโs rights with horrible trigger bills โ๏ธ

@DaStanfordTree
29 of those titles are in menโs gymnastics, menโs water polo, and womenโs water polo.
Not much of a flex considering only 12-35 DI schools participate in those sports.
the edible pop tart mascot needs to be an option on the new NCAA video game
would be even better if the team that beats them gets to celebrate by eating the pop tarts
A quick reminder that Leland Stanford built this university on Ohlone land and funded private militias in an attempt to exterminate Native people. Happy CA Native American Heritage Day to the beautifully resilient tribes of this state!
Heyo, previous Tree (
#43
) here. Some of yโall have been asking, so Iโll clarify that
@lsjumb
leadership reached this decision as per established Band policy. But donโt worry, Iโll be coming out of retirement until
#44
returns in the winter ๐คโฎ๏ธ

I donโt know how anyone can claim this is better for student athletes. Non-revenue sports will suffer, travel times will be unreasonable, and many schools who lose their conferences altogether will cut programs to adjust to lost revenue
Noโblame the networks that greedily hastened the Pacโs demise in their hour of need.
Blame U$C and their AD (who resigned in disgrace) for stabbing the Pac-12 in the back just so they can redeye their way to 7-5 in the B1G. U$C literally has no defense (for this or on the field)
Frustrated, depressed Oregon State fans should not blame Smith, Barnes or Murthy.
Former president Ed Ray a chief enabler of the failed Pac-12 policies that created this mess. More than anyone else connected to OSU over the past 6-8 years, he bears responsibility.
Thereโs an inherent sexism in propping up football and menโs basketball and designated all other sports as โsailing or whateverโ
We have the most national championships of any school and our women athletes deserve respect for their contribution to that legacy
Here's how it all shakes out imo:
Oregon and Washington sprint to join USC and UCLA in Big Ten country.
Arizonas, Utah, and Colorado prop up the Big 12.
Oregon State, Wazzu, and Cal join the MWC.
Stanford literally never plays another athletic season besides sailing or whatever.
@DaStanfordTree
Weโre still in the ACC in 2025. We go play in Palo Alto we are gonna bring the tomahawk chop & war chant with us. I can only imagine the therapy sessions & cry circles the Stanford students will need.
There's no need to fear, the GREEN PARTY is here!
Dillon's 2024 cabinet includes the best, brightest, and briniest minds from across the country on an all-star roster of political prowess and special talents.
Learn more about the cabinet at .
While weโre at it, I miss the original Big 12
Nebraska and Colorado
UT and A&M
Oklahoma and OkSU
It made sense. Now U$C is playing in a beach volleyball league with Indiana
@CFBONFOX
We had planned a field show like this during the Alamo bowl: The Field Show of How Oil is Made. All of our dinos would die and get churned into oil. Needless to say our sponsor Valero was not excited about this idea
If you don't think the Pac-12 was holding USC back, you either A) don't know a lot about CFB or B) don't know how the different conferences work and how revenue is distributed within them
