This past week and a half have been a whirlwind as my wife and I welcomed our first child into the world.
Hopefully get back to creating content in the new year.
Really like how this one turned out.

To help bridge the gap in peoples understanding of spreadsheets, statistics, and sports science I have started a series on youtube "sport science basics".
This series will tackle a variety of calculations, softwares and projects.
Over the past few years, I have put together tutorials on how to build several different versions of dashboards. Learn to make your own or buy some at links in thread:

Google Sheets can be a powerful tool for strength coaches it is cloud based, easy to use, and has been coming a long way with the visualisations. I have a whole playlist of google sheets projects for S&C coaches that I will be adding to in the future here:
I am going to try to put more resources (videos) together on coding, and sport science for S&C and Coaches.

📊Dashboards give coaches a way to quickly and easily display key information for their athletes.
Google sheets is a powerful platform for dashboarding and I show you how here:
Been seeing a lot of people posting dashboards in various software's that use player cards.
This is not that difficult to do in Google Sheets or Excel. Tutorials coming soon.
Hope you like them.
So I made this tool to allow coaches to explore their data and make decisions.
Input your data and then you can run correlations, transfer, and quadrant charts to see what variables are related and use this to improve your program.

I know companies offer advanced features, but in terms of quality, price, ease of use, and reliability in many different situations, I'm not sure it gets much better than arenagear for a sport timing system.
📊Sport Science is not fancy charts, dashboards or statistics.
It's about using information available to answer meaningful performance related questions in your situation.

Maybe unpopular opinion.. but training programs don't have to be constrained to arbitrary times of 45min or 1hr.. the necessary work takes as long as it takes.. sometimes less time, other times much more time.
I made this tool to allow coaches to quickly explore their data. This tool will calculate correlations, transfer of training, and allow you to make quadrant charts with any variables that you want.

With all the benchmarking going on thanks to
@ForcePlateCoach
here is our initial benchmarking for Women's Collegiate Rugby IMTP.
Will separate by position, weight classes etc in future.
Quadrant or Cartesian plots offer a great way to look at how metrics relate to each other in a population. These can be used for many different reasons and in the coming weeks with interest I could do a tutorial on how to create a custom one.
Based on our first round of IMTP testing here are the standards using
@ForcePlateCoach
method.
This is 2 trials each of Men's Collegiate Rugby athletes all positions.
We can argue about equipment sponsors or other things, but when the food is this different it means that you just don't care enough to do a good job! That is not ok!
📊To maximize your reporting for athletes, work to minimize the lag time between information in and reporting out.
The longer it takes for athletes to get their results back the less connection they have to the testing results.
Automation & Systems are your friend here.
