For those who are moaning about the Ontario result and counting percentage of voters who elected Ford, I remind you that Trudeau was elected in a minority gov, with fewer votes than the CPC and he only got 20% of eligible voters. But nobody did that math last year #ONelxn

The BCNDP housing plan is garbage. The government lends you 40% (with interest). If the home value drops, you are on the hook for the whole amount. If the price goes up, the government takes 40% of the gain. This is NDP double dipping. It would make a housing speculator blush.

The right thing is sometimes the hardest thing to do, but Kevin Falcon is putting BC first, as he’s done throughout his career. This is bigger than any one person. I’ll be the first to stand aside in my local riding to support the best chance to defeat the NDP.  #bcpoli

Someone please tell this guy to stop tweeting. If she was a bad MLA, they should be celebrating her departure. He is only calling attention. Just put the phone down and take the night off. Then tomorrow start attacking the NDP and prove that you are worth an X of the ballot.

@nspector4 I love the TorStar’s solution on the EV mandate… just buy a used car. What will that do to the price of used gas powered cars? Hint: they will get more expensive. And over time we will look like Cuba, driving 50 year old cars, held together with duct tape, spewing smoke.

@duncandee He offers only one possibility. Perhaps the child is confused and doesn’t want to be confronted to resolve the issue. Or the child loves the parents and fears disappointing and losing their love. These are also human reactions that are particularly challenging for young people.

David Eby’s housing plan appears to be government housing with a proviso. If the price goes up, government shares the gains. If the price goes down, the homeowner takes the entire loss. Heads government wins. Tails homeowner loses.

NEW - David Eby announces a new housing program that would help first time homebuyers get into the market. If re-elected, the NDP govt would finance 40% of the purchase price for new home buyers. Would be available for 25K homes over 5 years at a cost of $1.29 billion #bcpoli

Was the BCU deal fair? No. Based on the formula, when you consider the 28 most winnable seats, BCU would get 17 selected and BCC 11. If all that happened was the non-compete resulted in the 2020 result, BCC would have fewer seats despite stronger public support.

NDP have made B.C. a financial basket case. And it’s not me saying it. In B.C., according to Prof. Tombe, the gap is between 4 per cent and 5 per cent of GDP. To recoup that much through revenues alone, B.C. would have to double its personal income tax, or triple its sales tax.

Yes, NDP platform mentions John Rustad twice as often as David Eby. Another telling detail: no mention whatsoever of what's-his-name, who won 2020 election, governed through the pandemic and left Eby a $6 billion budget surplus which he promptly spent.
