In his day, Doug Grant Sr. put his CCM goalie pads to good use in the NHL. Now they hang in his basement & his painted mask (first of its kind) hangs in Hockey Hall of Fame. Most games he's behind the corner glass cheering on his grandson William Grant & the BNS @PeeweeA_Hawks .

The DJHL's first foray into AAA hockey ended in fine style tonight as Luke McGuire scored the shoot-out winner for the Thunder to claim gold over the Atlantic Silver medal-winning Knights. Entertainment value & skill shown in this division all season was truly impressive.

This week Crushers Coach Bernie Manning surprised Centurions Assistant Coach Morgan Warren with a pre-game gift: a signed hockey stick from the AHL St. John's Maple Leafs from 2001-02. Morgan's autograph is on it. Like Morgan, the stick stayed around. #GreatMove #WeAreDJHL
