TBT- @SalisburyMLAX ‘95, very likely the greatest D3 team of all time. If you were ever curious how they liked to play, here’s a sample:

It’s May, so a throw back to an all time team, Salisbury ‘95. What a hilarious, yet electric sequence….And remember this was during the first half of the National Championship, not a scrimmage:

Never thought “Tufts-Salisbury V” would take place in the Elite 8, and when they are still at their peak with @TuftsLacrosse 18-2 and @SalisburyMLAX 20-1. Fairly confident this is the highest profile Quarterfinal match up we’ve ever had in D3. At least it’s on a neutral field.

Congrats Union, that’s the biggest win by anyone at Tufts in 14 years. Won all the key individual matchups. Very impressive. In play for #1 seed for sure. For Tufts, there were questions after Amherst that were exposed tonight. But all the Daly title teams had a similar setback.

The pendulum has completely swung from Tufts to RIT in the old North. And another north team Union goes South and makes the Final. These were probably the two best teams all season so it’s the right ending. Tigers will be heavy favorites but Union will bring an army of fans to CT

The stars have aligned for Bowdoin at Tufts on Wed. night. As big a regular season game as you’ll see. All important NESCAC #1 seed on line, NCAA implications and Bowdoin flirting with rarefied air, going undefeated. Over/under 36 goals. Jumbos should spread word for a huge crowd

This must be a mistake? Salisbury, the team with more Preseason AA’s than the whole Centennial or NESCAC lost? Going to be tough to stomach another year on the Salisbury/Christopher Newport hype train in D3. Last May taught us nothing apparently.

BIG TIME win for your Bullets men's lacrosse team as they took down Salisbury on Shirk Field! Tied 6-6 at half, Gettysburg used a huge 5-goal fourth quarter to down the Sea Gulls. Dunleavy with 6 goals and one assist. Back in action on Saturday at Stevenson.🔶🔷 #GoBullets #d3lax

Revised: Wesleyan had to beat the winners of 14 of the last 15 National Championships, Salisbury/Tufts/Cortland. The other winner, Stevenson also was in their portion of the Bracket. They never trailed Salisbury and trailed RIT/Tufts for 3.5 and 2.5 min each. Total Domination

Whispers all year about Salisbury’s schedule being sneaky weak. They played zero games against the Top-9 in the Laxpower ratings. Season is now over and they still haven’t played one. Gutsy by W&L, down 8-1 early and the far better team the rest of the way. They made the leap!

Cabrini lacrosse is no more. That 2019 Title was a (well deserved) outlier in the history of D3…before the school announced it was shuttering. Now even more so. In 2039 the NCAA will honor that team on Memorial Day weekend. I hope they figure out who to call to make it happen!

Tufts at Wesleyan tomorrow is the rare double revenge game. Last time Tufts traveled to Wes they beat them in NESCAC title game keeping Wes from the "Triple" (NESCAC regular/post season titles and National Championship). 10 days later Wes traveled to Tufts and ended their season.

Uppgren had the exact same line (5g, 1a) last time he went against Ryan Lee and an offense getting all the hype in a tourney game...and with the same result.

I’m still in awe of @TheRealUppy performance in the @MLL_Lacrosse championship. Big time players step up when it matters. Big Game Uppy #MLL20

Amherst practiced at Gillette today. The Kraft’s continue tradition of giving the NESCAC title game rep access. Nice to get that Hickory High School enters Butler Fieldhouse moment out of the way today instead of Saturday morning.

Over/Unders for today: Union/York- 25 Tufts/RIT- 37 (about as high as a lacrosse game can go, but are you taking the under?)

Where do the Bailey bros. rank all time on the D3 combined points list, #1 ? They have past the Bergey’s who came to mind.

#ICYMI Over the weekend, senior Max Bailey ( @LacrosseStevens ) became the program's all-time leader in career points with this assist on Dean Peluso's goal. Bailey sits alone atop the career scoring list for a program that's been in existence since 1885 #AllRise #d3lax #E8MLAX

Remains a long shot, but York better not sleep on Stockton. Probably the best chance of a #1 or #2 seed losing in first game since the inception of the AQs, where the margin is usually 20+ goals.

All the advantages in the world as usual (home games etc...) and the Centennial conference gets wiped out like the Dothraki. Frankly, embarrassing, at this level and let’s remember this next year Committee and coaches (spoiler alert no one will remember).

Very early and harsh take on D3- North- RIT/Tufts, yes, but I see bigger flaws in both than usual, not sold. SJF, wow, what an emergence, we’ll know next week. Wesleyan/Amh./Union worth watching. That’s it. South- Salisbury will play Memorial Day weekend. Maybe CNU, that’s it

Tune in! Tufts on upset alert in Top-10 matchup with Union. 8-5 at halftime. Union’s soon to be AA goalie is the real deal. Great game plan on offense by Union so far, exploiting a few key individual matchups over and over. It’s cold.

Tufts beat Lynchburg last week 19-4. They are up on the road at Cabrini right now 19-4 as well, but there are still 10 minutes left in the 3rd quarter.

Hobart, Salisbury, Naz, Midd, Tufts…RIT. Only teams to win it back to back. Tigers dominated the last 35 min. Looked like they struggled adjusting to the grass most of 1st half. Perfect start for Union but too many holes. D3 Final was NOT the best game of this weekend, a grind.

Merchant Marines had a kid (Coll) score 12 goals today. Pretty sure that’s an NCAA tourney record all divisions

Bad news for the rest of D3, another Helfrich has quietly starting to dominate face-offs for the Jumbos. That could be the missing piece for May. They looked much better today than what I saw last week, and without Shanks or Pollack...
