I’m ecstatic that we get to play for another National Championship, but I’m DISGUSTED by the hate speech that continues to spread in the comments on our social media
You want to cheer against us - that’s fine. But to continuously spread hate speech is uncalled for. Grow up.
And to all the trolls, anonymous social accounts and others that continue to stoke the fires of hate, bigotry, homophobia and exclusion on lacrosse sites and anywhere else, your actions are not welcome or respected.
I’ll continue to stand with those in the LGBTQ+ community!
US COVID cases at record lows and people want to say, “just wait til the next wave…”
Respectfully, please be quiet and let me just enjoy a maskless team dinner with my double-vaxxed-&-boosted guys for 5 minutes. It’s ok to be optimistic every once in a while.
#mondaythoughts
I’m not a jealous person but damn it I am JEALOUS of all the programs that got to practice lacrosse today! Just know how lucky you are to be together and play this great game. I’m rooting for a successful start for each and every team, and I hope we’re not far behind you!
Guys and Gals,
When your summer season is over (hopefully soon), PLEASE be sure to:
Put your stick down, go to the beach, get rid of the sock tan line, get ready for a DIFFERENT sport, do your summer reading, and most importantly, say THANK YOU to your family!
-All Coaches
I love when people are surprised that rookies do well in pro lacrosse...these guys were just playing lacrosse 10 months out of the year for 4 years going up against guys that play, at best, half that time while working full time jobs. Being a rook should be an advantage
HS Kids are playing too much lacrosse in the summer.
The second half of July has been tough to watch.
These kids are cooked and they’re not playing to the best of their ability.
We need to look for a better way to serve the recruits and the recruiters in June/July. Thoughts?👇
Thought of the Day: I hope there’s a lot of lax players out there running WR/DB drills, working on their soccer footwork, playing pickup hoops, shooting pucks, running intervals for XC, etc. Doing all of that work at a high level will make you a better lacrosse player. Period.
All I want for Christmas is for the Right, Left & Center to do their research and not just put out click bait “news” articles that lack research and fact.
Also, isn’t it crazy that Salisbury is going D1? Wild.
Parenting during a pandemic is like running a practice with a dozen greasers.
(Side note: I’d give anything to run a practice with a dozen greasers right now)
For any HS lacrosse players that think they’re “too good” for
@NCAADIII
Lacrosse, if you’re within 90 min of
@StevensonLax
, you should make it a priority to attend & gain some perspective on the DIII college game.
What is this nonsense?! This isn’t the Olympics. We’re not going for Gold in equestrian…I want my SEALs on steroids, HGH, TRT and whatever Captain America was cycling. 🇺🇸
BREAKING: The Navy will start randomly testing special operations troops for performance-enhancing drugs in November, a step military leaders have long resisted.
A lot of fans/sportswriters being melodramatic & salty abt the Steelers/Ravens game getting rescheduled to Wednesday. ICYMI our games this past spring got rescheduled to Never O’Clock so maybe if you get to watch your favorite team play Wed. you should just shut up & be grateful
Two takeaways from this Deerfield/Brunswick game:
1. High school kids are wearing their shorts with an aggressively short inseam (Thanks, Cali)
2. You will never see a nicer selection of cars than you do in the background of a Brunswick home game.
#deepthoughts
I don’t want to hear about people being shocked, appalled or disgusted about college kids partying at a frat and then be totally fine about this scene.
I’m feeling a lot of emotions right now, and I certainly can’t express those appropriately in a tweet. Please see my statement below on the love and gratitude I have for this 2020
@tuftslacrosse
group. 🐘🇺🇸
Few things give me more 🔋 than smoking a guy on my
@onepeloton
ride who has
#FormerD1athletes
on his leaderboard. Petty? Yes. But that’s what happens when you challenge the D3 mafia. ⛽️3️⃣⛽️
Sad and disappointed to see the amount of negative backlash there is/was to these pride games on social media.
We are an inclusive program and support the LGBTQIA+ communities and their desire & work for equality.
We’ve got to be better than this, lacrosse community!
Quint is legitimately SHOCKED that Bertrand came from D2 MERRYmack but doesn’t mention that Ryan Lee (who scored the first goal for Canada and has been a stud pro) is a D3 product. Have some respect for all levels of lacrosse, Q
They don’t put rings on smooth hands…
Failure, adversity, and setbacks are what led to our ultimate success this year. Perfection is a myth…it’s all about the process.
When things get tough, hold people MORE accountable. Be the Man In The Arena.
Society wants to distill success to simple metrics (championships, total wealth, etc) but it’s not that simple with athletes - it’s body of work, impact on program, attitude, drive, etc. Saban lets us hear this right here in a low moment and it’s important that we listen. 👏
Obviously I love lacrosse, but you can’t expect me to remember that the PLL semifinals are happening NFL opening weekend…that’s just not a reasonable ask.
Miami paid Middle Tennessee $1.5 million to play them at home today.
The Blue Raiders just beat the Canes 45-31 — their first ever win over a Top-25 team.

If you’re a ‘24/‘25/‘26, you don’t have to say you’re “uncommitted”
Only things you have to be committed to right now are:
1️⃣Be the best version of yourself
2️⃣Be academically curious
3️⃣Be intentional in your practice
Big things will happen if you focus on the little things
NCAA needs to be held 1000% accountable for this egregiously misogynistic move. If college athletes get publicly raked over the coals for breaking NCAA rules, then NCAA should get same treatment when they blatantly violate federal laws.
Love watching the last game of the day at a tournament. Always telling about a recruit: which guys are still grinding, working, hustling, picking up tough GBs - and which guys are already checked out - thinking about where they’re getting a post game milkshake.
Tip of the day for high school players: when you talk to a coach, in person, introduce yourself. First Name. Last name. Where you’re from. Even if you think the coach knows you, do it. This help the coach ID you, and have a better convo w/ you. (Also a great life skill).
HS players: good thing to consider going into the weekend - we, college coaches, can hear what you talk about on the sidelines...everything. We are not just evaluating what you do on the field.

#Awareness
Set up our office outside today.
➡️Wore a mask all day. Not hard.
➡️Saw a bunch of guys. Awesome!
➡️Saw freshmen. Psyched!
➡️Talked shop w/ staff - in person. 💪
➡️Observed social distancing. Easy.
It’s not hard, but it does take discipline & team work
TOGETHER we got this!
We just got our helmets & gloves in for the ‘23 season and…my goodness…this might be the most visually impressive gear drop we’ve ever had.
No questions at this time…only wild speculation.
I know this is a common take, but this is a brutal product of lacrosse.
Whomever writes the international rules needs to removed immediately.
If you played this US/Canada game with PLL rules, it would be must see TV.
This game? Boooooooooooring.
Before I had kids, I would occasionally tell people with kids I was tired and overworked.
…I now want to apologize to those people for being a young, ignorant, dumbass.
This tweet is long overdue.
I just want to say how proud and excited I am for JB (and Mason Kohn - headed to ‘Cuse) both guys were underrecruited, the hardest workers, developed tremendously and now they get to further their education & play in the ACC. Grateful to get 4 years with them!
DIII Player of the Year Jack Boyden is set to join
@UVAMensLax
after posting 290 points in his final two seasons at
@TuftsLacrosse
, he confirms to
@Inside_Lacrosse
. The ‘Hoos add a stud Canadian playmaker with a flair for the dramatic.
PSA: If you want info on a school’s prospect day, don’t email the school’s athletic director, assistant AD, Associate AD and director of facilities. Just email the coaches. Or use the Internet. Either is fine. I feel like I shouldn’t have to tweet this…but here we are.
Imagine setting an arbitrary sideline number when the NCAA doesn’t even have to pay for the 8 vaccinated guys they already added. How much better would these Terps and every other student athlete’s experience be if they were on the sideline.
@NCAA
must do better!
Never leave a Terp behind 🐢
Even though they couldn’t be on the sidelines due to NCAA roster regulations, still made our brothers in the stands apart of the game.
#BeTheBest
It would be a simpler game to referee if the rule just stated, “no body checking.” Having trouble teaching our men to hit clean and then have a clean hit be called for 2-3 min locked in. We’ve got to figure this out.
The best lacrosse you’ll watch all weekend will be today:
12p - BC vs UNC - D1 WLAX National Championship
1p - Union vs RIT - D3 MLAX Nat’l Championship
3:30p- Tufts vs Middlebury - WLAX D3 Nat’l Championship
Sunday never disappoints!
Watch here:
Just watched the Mid-American ‘22s at
@NationalASG
and man…those guys can play. Amazing how much the Midwest level of play has progressed in the last 5-10 years. Hats off to the HS coaches and Club directors growing the game out there! 🙌
Please don’t tweet this nonsense out unless you have an official notice from the university. You’re not being a responsible “journalist” and these rumors don’t help anything.
Got falsely accused of an illegal substitution while coaching my 8 year old’s basketball game this AM.
This league does not call travels, double dribbles or shooting fouls, so yeah, I really need my
@TuftsLacrosse
season to start.
Final score: 24-24 tie.
#youthsports
Watching these D1 games this weekend and seeing how LITTLE opposing players actually physically interact over the course of the game should only ADD to the argument that in-game competition is safe. Maybe we should give the infectious disease specialists a

Remember when Jack was an Hon. Mention All-American in 2022 with 133 points on 86 goals and 47 assists?
Kids/Parents - remember that awards are subjective and dumb. Play the game hard, have fun and don’t worry about what awards may or may not happen. Ball don’t lie.
Yes, summer is going to be awesome, but we’re only, like, 7 days into spring, so let’s mask up and not be complete idiots...I’d like to play a couple lacrosse games this spring. Thank you in advance for your consideration
How the 4 QBs playing in the NFL Conf Champs looked coming out of HS:
Allen, 0️⃣offers➡️JUCO➡️Wyoming
Mahomes 3⭐️, Texas Tech
Rodgers 3⭐️, JUCO➡️Cal
Brady, 4⭐️, Michigan
Best schools don’t mean best prospects...it comes down to making the most of your opportunities!
#WinTheDay
Imagine trying to cancel school for 1-3” of snow in 1996...my mom would have pulled up the wood paneled Dodge Caravan to the front door of the school & said “the only thing dangerous about this snow is ME if you don’t let me get to work. You’re open! Bye👋” and that would be that
PSA for all 2025s & 26s out there: when you’re making your highlight tape, just remember…no one has ever been recruited because of the 90 seconds of slow-mo-HD video to start.
Far more important: grades, contact info, music selection,
@diggstape
assessment of your helmet.
If you are a lacrosse person please join the challenge of posting a lacrosse [video]. Just one [screen grab], no description. Please copy the text in your status, post a [video] and look at some great memories/pictures/videos.
#Missinglacrosse
Just got the best highlight tape I’ve ever seen. It had - get this - his contact info, his HS coach’s info & his club coach’s info on the bottom of the screen during the entire reel. The standard has been set. 👏 🎞
With so much uncertainty, here is what you can control today:
Your actions & effort
Your strength & conditioning
Your academic presence (even if you’re not actually in class)
Ability to make zero excuses
...You control all the controllables; that’s for certain!
#WinTheDay
Think about this: Are you a “finger guy” or a “thumb guy”? When something bad happens to you, do you point the finger and blame others, or do you check yourself, look in the mirror, and ask, what could I have done better? IMO: We need more thumb guys in the World.

🥍What was

Head Coach Connor Buczek's (

in the National Championship game today?
Press Conferences are LIVE NOW on LSN.
Just click:
Debate is raging. Which game should I go to on Saturday:
Qualifier: this is my only chance to see Tufts, I have more chances to see Princeton this year, I see Yale all the time.
It’s hard to get to the top if you haven’t been at the bottom: if you haven’t failed; if you haven’t poured everything you have into something and fallen short. Aim big, grind, attack. If you fail? Good...that means you’re aiming high enough. Every failure is a chance 2 re-attack
In terms of “all-time bad looks” in the recruiting process, a Top 5 item is posting a commitment to a school & within 24 hours, contacting a different coach about your continued interest.
That action makes you & your HS/Club coaches look bad. A commitment is not a placeholder.
IMHO:
Being outdoors, working towards a common goal & doing something you love while being with people you care about (& getting some exercise) >>>>>>>>>> staying indoors, isolated, inactive, & being worried of what might happen.
Good for the soul. Just my opinion, of course.
Thank you to everyone who supported us all season long - especially the Alums, parents, students and those in the athletic department. And thank you to our seniors - what an incredible group. I will be forever grateful for everything they have done for
@TuftsLacrosse
and for me.
I can’t help it, but every time I get a recruit email that says “Allow me to reintroduce myself...” My mind immediately yells:
“My name is HOVVVVVV!”
...not sure I’ll ever get past that.
#deepthoughts
In the fall of 2004 when I was a QB for
@TuftsFootball
, Matt Ryan (BC), Ryan Fitzmagic (Hahvahd) & Tom Brady (Pats 🐐) were playing football in the greater Boston area. Tonight 3 of the 4 of us are in the NFL, and one of us is tweeting & doing laundry. Your move
@nyjets
I don’t think my 6 year old has ever been so in awe of me as he was tonight when I put back 20 BK nuggets before he finished his 6pc. I imagine it’s the same look he’ll have when he watches Mikey Powell’s ‘Cuse highlights for the first time.
#foreshadowing
Not to brag, but I got my second vax dose this morning...so in 2 weeks the CDC says I’ll be able to bring my trash out to the curb without a mask on.
#PfizerGang
Was once told: “don’t dress for the job you have, dress for the one you want.” Same is true for athletes & teams: “don’t train for the position you have, train for the position you want.” No better time to start than now... Attack Monday!

20 years since my first practice with
@TuftsLacrosse
and I’ve never been more grateful to be a small part of this incredible program.
The hair is a little different but the goal is the same. Time to attack greatness! 🐘🇺🇸
Twitter was far superior when my timeline wasn’t clogged up with Elon’s tweets or opinions there of.
So, in that vein, lacrosse should have bowl season. Top 8 teams make Nat’l Tourney…everyone else to bowls. I definitely would have watched ND vs
@JAX_MLAX
on a Tuesday in May
What Tommy DeLuca did at Cabrini this year is beyond remarkable. He’s got a bright future in the coaching profession!
Hats off the men of Cabrini lacrosse - you represented your program in an extraordinary way given the circumstances.
#respect
Here was our take on Cabrini pre-season.
My opinion now is that I hope Tommy Deluca’s phone is ringing off the hook. What he just did is as if not more impressive than 99% of resumes out there.
It doesn’t matter if it’s Year 1️⃣ playing, Year 6️⃣ coaching or Year 2️⃣0️⃣ as a part of this program - the only thing that comes to mind on the first day of practice is that I’m grateful for the opportunity. Thank you to everyone that has helped me get here. Let’s Go!
#WinTheDay
A lot of burners taking the opportunity to go after
@tyxanders
because they’re salty they didn’t get ranked by him in HS.
If you don’t like Ty, that’s your opinion, but to say that he doesn’t work his ass off & do great work (w/ a lot of integrity) for the sport is just ignorant
With Petro heading to the 🍊, the ‘Cuse staff is one DOLO hire away from challenging the

I’ve spoken with the other coaches in the league, and we’ve unanimously decided to ban Salt Bae from the NESCAC playoffs this spring as well.
But it’s not all bad…free tickets to the ‘yoffs for the first 50 people who like this tweet.
