I love when people are surprised that rookies do well in pro lacrosse...these guys were just playing lacrosse 10 months out of the year for 4 years going up against guys that play, at best, half that time while working full time jobs. Being a rook should be an advantage

Thought of the Day: I hope there’s a lot of lax players out there running WR/DB drills, working on their soccer footwork, playing pickup hoops, shooting pucks, running intervals for XC, etc. Doing all of that work at a high level will make you a better lacrosse player. Period.

Tip of the day for high school players: when you talk to a coach, in person, introduce yourself. First Name. Last name. Where you’re from. Even if you think the coach knows you, do it. This help the coach ID you, and have a better convo w/ you. (Also a great life skill).

In terms of “all-time bad looks” in the recruiting process, a Top 5 item is posting a commitment to a school & within 24 hours, contacting a different coach about your continued interest. That action makes you & your HS/Club coaches look bad. A commitment is not a placeholder.

IMHO: Being outdoors, working towards a common goal & doing something you love while being with people you care about (& getting some exercise) >>>>>>>>>> staying indoors, isolated, inactive, & being worried of what might happen. Good for the soul. Just my opinion, of course.

I don’t think my 6 year old has ever been so in awe of me as he was tonight when I put back 20 BK nuggets before he finished his 6pc. I imagine it’s the same look he’ll have when he watches Mikey Powell’s ‘Cuse highlights for the first time. #foreshadowing

Twitter was far superior when my timeline wasn’t clogged up with Elon’s tweets or opinions there of. So, in that vein, lacrosse should have bowl season. Top 8 teams make Nat’l Tourney…everyone else to bowls. I definitely would have watched ND vs @JAX_MLAX on a Tuesday in May

Here was our take on Cabrini pre-season. My opinion now is that I hope Tommy Deluca’s phone is ringing off the hook. What he just did is as if not more impressive than 99% of resumes out there.

A lot of burners taking the opportunity to go after @tyxanders because they’re salty they didn’t get ranked by him in HS. If you don’t like Ty, that’s your opinion, but to say that he doesn’t work his ass off & do great work (w/ a lot of integrity) for the sport is just ignorant
