Here's the thing with open source. You cannot afford to screwed up, because people can fork you. Godot really crewed up, and now there's calls for a fork. Whatever comes up will take devs and financial backers with them. That's why we're incentivized not to screw up.

They received a false copyright strike, apparently by someone impersonating the developers, and as a result, the mod page where they posted the mod is temporarily (or permanently) taken down. Now that it's up on what we've made, this can't happen.
