Reading the early Church Fathers on matters of sexual morality can be confusing in a post Humanae Vitae world. They make more sense if you factor in that, for the most part: They had a strong suspicion of sexual pleasure. They believed (excessive) ejaculation was harmful

What is peculiar about Catholic sexual ethics is that it is based on general concepts of the heart/will like "openness to life", "be fruitful and multiply", and "welcome children lovingly", but the actual rules judge distinct acts, seemingly irrespective of those intentions.

Difficult Church teachings don't affect people, their intellects, and their families in the same way, and a response to questions/doubts about such things needs to account for this. Example: Confession. This teaching came to us (fairly) directly from the words of the Lord

The Luminous Mysteries are not a part of the rosary. Satan will deceive you, not as one who is evil, but as an angel of light. (2 Cor. 11:14). They were promulgated by a false pope. They throw Christ’s life/the importance of “150” into chaos. Their title has masonic origins.

As Catholics we tend to have this view that Church teachings are delivered in clear terms to the pope and/or magisterium in some mystical encounter with God. In reality, the process is often much more organic than that. The broken human is very much part of the process.
