@WVPitt Jeremiads are Biblical. The government is appointed by God to bring His wrath on evildoers. The racist enslavers and traitors in the South were evil. Your lying about history in order to try to cover for them is, likewise, evil. I note the Dabney-esque attempt at blame shifting.

@WVPitt Boston was not making money off the slave trade in the 1860s. The slave trade was abolished in the USA in 1807. Yes, you're lying. You're lying to cover for racist, enslaving, traitors. Even if you were right, it's irrelevant, just a blame-shifting tactic to obfuscate.

The worst part of dispensationalism is that it claims the glories of Christ's kingdom are all about a small ethnic group getting some real estate in the Middle East. It reduces God's word to a tribal religion.

If baptism replaces circumcision as the mark of the covenant so that the OT command to be circumcised is now fulfilled by baptism, as the Reformed paedobaptists claim, then baptism must be on the 8th day after birth. Anything else is just arbitrary.

The real error of dispensationalism is that, if true, it makes God to be mostly about a small ethnic group and some real estate in the middle east. If true, it trivializes the Word of God and that's a major error.

The Bible doesn't teach that Peter was the head of the church on earth. He had the keys that opened the doors on Pentecost (Acts 2) and to the gentiles (Acts 10) but by Acts 15, James was the leader. Later Paul rebuked him (Galatians 2.) Peter's role was temporary.
