Hello, my name is Cosmo and I'm a 27-year-old black transformers artist and writer. I'm genderfluid so any pronouns are fine with me. Starscream is my fave but I love a lot of others! I'll occasionally draw art for other fandoms!
castlevania saw us all complaining about the lack of native and black vampires and said 'just wait a minute' and give us them

@InspectorNerd
okay, i was waiting for someone to say this. glinda + the rest of society being seen as extremely beautiful whereas Elphaba is seen as weird/ugly for having a different skin color and making her a black woman is not....good. don't get me started with the flying monkeys
A lot of black people, those initiated in the voodoo religion, hoodoo practitioners and those who work with the Loa have all been vocal about how harmful his portrayal is !
@lipringlvr
I think my main issue with the movie is how at the end she was made to apologize to ken. i don't think she was ever rude in rejecting him and he kicked her out of her house. but she apologized? i get it's not that deep but idk
@bearsys_
@Naiobia
It's incredibly telling that they didn't mention racism at all but you were extremely quick to jump to it and pull the 'fictional racism doesn't affect reality'. That wasn't even what was brought up and that's the first thing your mind went to
@kmoriorz
most 'catholics' arent actually catholic/christian which is why they're getting so upset when the leader of our religion is actually being Christian .
on one hand yay everyone for bringning up how gyaru culture is going against beauty standards and not considered attractive.
on the other hand it's shitty that being caricatures of black women are what is considered going 'against' the beauty standard....
@TheeDCstan
I hate these posts too because then it gives multiple people the opportunity to be anti black in the qrts. It's like when one black person messes up instead of calling them out normally it's an anti black bonfire
i loved how anette's storyline was inclusive of the orisha, iwa and the loa. blending forms of African spirituality and being respectful of their combination due to slavery was really lovely. also, i loved the ACCURATE portrayal of papa legba.
#Castlevania
#CastlevaniaNocturne
@m0sstrx
that was my one issue with it. anette's story could've easily existed without slavery. it wasn't lost on me how eduourd (her light skinned friend) was born free, but she wasn't. she and Isaac, two ds black characters have slave stories and that sits uneasy with me
@zxidart
idk why we've gotten to the point where when queer people esp women, speak up against violence they've faced by men, queer men/mascs suddenly take that as transphobia and as if we're going after them...it's such a strange mra tactic that i see in more queer/trans spaces
It’s completely unfair to put all that weight and pressure on these celebrities, especially the black ones, when global shit pops off that’s been going on for decades and centuries, as if their words is going to put an end to it. This shit been going on and y’all said nothing.
@laymagdalene
She's in a war zone currently no one can get masks. No one in Gaza can wear masks 😭. I get the point but this isnt the post to say that on

's prompt 'ends of the earth'. I decided to draw a pic based on my au. after Ratchet dies Drift goes on a spiritual journey and finds himself in the realm where sparks go after death. Of course, he finds Ratchet's spark and pulls him back.

and this really just happens when people interact with black users. it's upsetting but expected that you saw a black kid responding to you about ao3 and decided to jump to assuming they were talking about racism and dragged them for it.
@XiranJayZhao
a lot of people will take advantage of what is happening to use it as a buffer to go after people they've always hated. i highly doubt that person cares about the strike/protests they're just using it as a chance to go after you for some odd reason
@MattSinclairVo
im gonna be real, as a bi trans person i do think it's strange how you saw a story about a lesbian talking about violence from cishet men, and decided to tie it to biphobia and transphobia. especially when trans lesbians are very vocal abt not wanting cishet men in lesbian spaces
@Lexalulu8
@lipringlvr
that's true! i just didn't like how it was done after her literally being kicked out of her house and having her clothes thrown at her. very familiar to a lot of abusive relationships women are in and i didn't feel as empathetic for him after. glad she apologized but
@SoualiganAmazon
This is very conditional because African Americans can still have violent anti blackness overseas. Many have been killed, arrested and faced with brutality and being American doesn't save us. This man had to get loud and aggressive to be taken seriously and even then he could've
Every so often, Starscream can convince Megatron to let him put lipstick on her and guess what, it looks good on Megatron. (anyways my lesbian megastar)

having it done after he pubicly humiliated her and she had to be the bigger person doesn't sit right with me. but that's just my opinion and we can agree to disagree because i see what you mean!

" laugh or disagreement with americentric visions'
Stop. This isn't an Americentric thing - actual sudanese people were talking about this. Also antiblackness is not american centric, I'm not sure why you're sticking your neck out so far to silence the voices of sudanse people
@lipringlvr
I get people are like "she hurt his feelings! She was mean!" But it's like he kicked her out of her home, ridiculed her, because she didn't have feelings for him and then brought patriarchy to the barbie world. I actually loved ken and his nativity and I'm glad she
@AuthorLMDavis
@JustMarveWrites
Having the power of the sun or being able to harness the sun's ability is actually a common thing in a lot of black/African diasporic cultures traditions so it's even more strange that you're acting this way over something that can be cultural
@EggSplatics
@ObsessedPianist
so again you mean black and indigenous Americans because we are the only people who get bashed for talking about cultural appropriation so...
@starxeebs
in a society where it's already hard to encourage black girls to wear natural hair, it's so insidious that this mindset is so prevalent in our community. like if i saw that years ago i'd never go natural, i'd be scared out of it
@fanoniscanon
It was a SUDANESE person who is going through their own genocide bringing this up and tons of Afro ARABS are speaking out. You don't get to use black Americans as scapegoats and downplay OUR oppression just because you wont listen to afro-arabs valid critiques of antiblackness.
Why are y'all acting like mama oddie practicing it makes it different it is still a white washed , appropriated and incorrect form of voodoo. That adds nothing to the conversation
@MattSinclairVo
Again I'm a black trans nonbinary person and have constantly have masculinity forced on me despite being clear I wish to be femme. That doesn't excuse the fact that this post is talking about the abuse trans, cis and nonbinary lesbians face in their safe spaces.
i drew something from one of my personal aus where starscream spends Christmas with megatron on the lost light for the first time and it's kinda sweet between them. i may write a fic abt it. Merry Christmas from my otp <3 <3

Apologized but I don't think she had to because she wasn't even mean or malicious to him! Like that's just my take. I'm glad they were friends in the end. And ken is a cute character
@imandie13
@lipringlvr
But then that's like saying she owed him something or a relationship. He had romantic feelings for her , she did not. She didn't owe him that. And I don't particularly think she was ever mean to him. But that's just my take
@ghosts_cxt
@lvpnm_
I stopped watching regular show becuase Mordecai got in the way of cj and Margaret I hated him. And Sasuke got in the way of Sakura and Ino it was bad for my mental health. Don't get me started on ten ten and temari
@DiaBraveSid
I've also found that a ton of hatred for idw is also rooted in some forms of homophobia and misogyny/transmisogyny. Not all of it but a lot of people tend to hate the more queer centric parts of it
tbh the anti nsfw wave in the transformers fandom is so weird. if people are keeping their nsfw on their own accounts and aren't like, sexualizing minors or anything like that then nsfw isn't a problem
starscream just had to teach ratchet how to put on makeup during their little trip in my au. drift is going to love him...if they find drift

I was digging through my old account and found some Starscream / Tarn. I think if the writing was kinder to them, they would've gotten redemption and they would've found each other
