overall recruit in the class of 2024... Potentially waking back up the sleeping giant that is Nebraska...
Source: Big Ten commissioner Kevin Warren is expected to be named Chicago Bears president and CEO. An announcement is likely later today or early Friday. Warren was named B1G commissioner in 2019 after a long tenure in the NFL.
@RapSheet
first reported.
Not to brag but your boy had the honor of clearing Matt Rhule to land this morning for the first time as the Husker head coach. Made sure to tell him Welcome to Lincoln and GO BIG RED!!!
Fun Fact: Colorado's official Mascot, Ralphie VI, is actually a Bison and NOT a Buffalo... Funny they play North Dakota State BISON their first game... And even funnier: Ralphie VI is from Chadron, NEBRASKA...

5 ⭐️ kicker Evan Noel set the Mississippi high school record with a 61-yard field goal on Friday night.
The Arkansas commit’s kick would’ve tied the SEC record, and certainly had the distance to match the NFL record (66 yds).

Art Briles: *lets multiple players sexually assault women and does nothing about it*
NCAA: “All good here!”
Scott Frost: *potentially let a special teams analyst coach on field in practice*
NCAA: “You son of a bitch!”
Nebraska hasn't beat a top-25 opponent since 2016 (25 straight losses to ranked teams). We haven't beat a top-25 team on the road since 2011. Matt Rhule hasn't had a top-25 victory since 2016 at Temple. Nebraska has never won with Gus Johnson on the call. Something has to give!!!
If Frost stays, QB coach gone, OL coach gone and OC gone, bring in an OC that has experience running a big ten style offense. Get a QB coach that lets QB’s train with other QB coaches in the offseason. Something has to give, this offense is TERRIBLE.
Creighton fans, friendly halftime reminder: Make sure to take your Husker shirts out the washer and put them in the dryer. Need them ready to go by 11 am tomorrow! YW!
One thing that's pretty damn cool: Matt Rhule's son will be attending The University of Nebraska. I think that speaks to how much the Rhule's embrace this community and University and how much it means to them. Welcome to Nebraska officially Bryant!
How fun is it that we have a generational QB who's father is a former Nebraska All-American which made him grow up loving Nebraska... And now that he's apart of it he BLEEDS Husker red through and through and shows up to damn near all Husker sporting events 🥹
I will be going to the Nebraska vs Illinois game in Champaign with my Mom! This is the first football game we will have attended together since she took me to my very first Husker game on August 25, 2001 vs TCU! 20th anniversary almost to the day! GBR!!!!
Nebraska is 11 days away from its 2024 season opener.
"We ain't flinching," says offensive lineman Micah Mazzccua. "We ain't scared of nobody."
More from Mazzccua, who's an entertaining interview:

Why couldn’t NCAA football come out this year? I want to throw an absolute BOMB from Casey Thompson to Omar Manning in the Natty on a hot July afternoon 😢
My takeaways from tonight's practice:
-DR worth the price of admission alone to put it lightly
-HH much improved as a passer, if we have to rely on his arm to win a game he can 100% do it.
-Banks looks real good, Neyor for that matter too. Barney is going to play and play a bit.
Honestly when NCAA Football 23 drops, if I don’t have the choice to have off campus off season workouts with the potential risk of being investigated by the NCAA in dynasty mode, I’m going to be MAD PISSED!
Stop tweeting negative/nasty things at recruits who don’t choose Nebraska. Remember that they don’t sign for another 7 months and you aren’t helping the fact that they could change their mind. Thank you!

Mike Riley was one of the best coaches in Nebraska football history. He walked into a bad situation and was unreasonably let go. Husker fans (and definitely me personally) have never said one bad about his tenure here. As they say, once a Husker always a Husker! Especially Mike!
NEWS: Former head coach Mike Riley has been named to the

Selection Committee.
Riley will replace Pat Chun, who stepped down after becoming the athletics director at the University of Washington.

Ochaun Mathis talks about fan support being a big reason he chose GBR… HUSKER NATION: We have a lot of influence, everything you say on here negative and positive has an impact folks
Interesting. Ohio State just added a 2023 QB commit. I remember hearing they had ensured a certain 2024 QB commit that they were not taking a QB this class 👀
I understand frustration, i really do, but some of y'all gotta chill. Rhule's entire M.O. is figuring it out. That's been his whole college HCing career. This is the best first year he's ever had. Have patience, his blueprint works.
If Blackshirts don't come back for the year whatever but don't ever get rid of the tradition. Just cause we've had bad years doesn't mean we should scrap what makes Nebraska football, Nebraska football.
I must either be in the minority or the silent majority but Satt isn't doing a bad job. Our offense has been decimated by injuries on top of not having a QB capable to make the plays we need them to make.
Butler is back. Great fit for this defense. If I'm Rhule I'm telling Tony White his
#1
priority is getting Hausmann back on board. You rerecruit the shit out of that kid...
Imagine going from constantly/obsessively harassing and belittling a high schooler publicly on this app for over a year and then at the snap of a finger becoming their biggest fan... That takes a serious lack of mental/emotional stability.
I know fans do not want to hear this right now, BUT I'm gonna say it... If Iowa loses vs Illinois and Nebraska beats Wisconsin, it'll be Nebraska vs Iowa in Memorial Stadium on Black Friday to win the West lmao
Some of y’all are so anti Frost/Moos that you’d rather see us having losing seasons in hopes they get canned than them having success and that makes me sick 🤢
I've never wanted a Nebraska basketball team to make the tourney more than this team. So many deserving players on this squad. So many unfortunate injuries this year and this team still shows up and battles HARD every damn game. This team is one of my all time favorites.
Deion's form of recruiting, YOU come to ME, is one of the most egotistical things I've ever seen at this level lmao. Not saying it can't and won't work (he does have a big name), but at some point that gimmick is going to get old to the kids. It's not sustainable imo
My rankings (in order) for currently rumored candidates for the job and Tiers:
Instant notoriety and success:
Urban Meyer
Deion Sanders
Solid hires:
Matt Rhule
Lane Kiffin
Lance Leipold
On the fence:
Dave Aranda
Mickey Joseph
Mike Stoops
Bad hires:
Bill O'Brien
Jeff Monken
I refused to get sucked into the off season hype this year. Too many times I’ve been fooled. No record prediction for me this year, no guesses on what may happen. The expectation is to make a bowl game and anything better is an added bonus.
5) Nebraska knocks off Oregon (2016)
In the grand scheme of things, this season is a distant memory. But this game was HUGE
After Tommy Armstrong gave the Huskers the lead late, the Blackshirts shut things down to give Nebraska a 3-0 record to start the year
Finished watching Matt Rhule's Bussin' With The Boys episode. My biggest takeaway: Although not a whole lot of on field success, Matt's time in the NFL taught him a lot and he's coming back and going to be an even better college coach. I'm pumped and the koolaid is FLOWING

We finally have a program and coach again that our guys truly love and care about. This is what the beginning stages of winning after a lot of losing looks like. Nebraska is trending in the right direction finally 📈
If you’re a Husker fan who’s going to the game this Saturday night and you’re not planning on being loud af. SELL. YOUR. TICKETS. We need people in there that will 🤷♂️
#GBR
I went to the game yesterday and one thing that REALLY pissed me off as a fan: Way too many people left the game before Northwestern's last drive to go down and tie it... I haven't seen this addressed on here, maybe it has, but that's fucking bullshit.
Jeff Sims is entering the transfer portal.
In his career at Georgia Tech:
-4464 yards passing
-30 TDs passing
-1161 yards rushing
-11 rushing TDs
He has 2 years of eligibility left
I think folks thought i was messing around when i said i would absolutely abuse mfs online with the Huskers when i got my hands on this game. This is what the outcome of years full of pain and suffering looks like
#GBR
Some of you people calling for Rhule to be on the chopping block make me fucking sick. One game vs a team we were projected to lose to by a TD... Really? We knew it wasn't going to be instant, that's not Rhules M.O.
Ty Robinson coming back is insanely huge. The development he and Nash made this year was incredible. There's no telling how good they will both be for us next year 🤯
@ChiColeman23
Let us down? You made all of us Nebraskans proud. It's not often kids from this state get to go do that and you represented us well all week. Can't wait to have you in the Scarlet and Cream!
#GBR
I highly advise everyone to watch Frost’s postgame press conference. You can hear in his voice and see it on his face how much this has hurt him. He will get this thing on track, stick with him Husker fans, don’t give up. ESPECIALLY after one year.
We went from a guy who was working at a bank when we hired him to a guy coming off a season where his offense ranked among the top in the nation and he directly coached/produced a Heisman finalist. That’s a massive upgrade.
This is going to get mixed reviews but I loved Bill Moos and what he’s done in his time here. I am genuinely disheartened to see his time at Nebraska come to an end so abruptly.
👀Nebraska football’s semi truck is parked outside Logan-Magnolia HS today to get the attention of OL target
@grant_brix
.
Brix is deciding between Nebraska, Oklahoma and K-State.
#Huskers
I think one of the most rewarding things when Nebraska starts winning at a high clip again will be our fanbase shitting all over the fanbases who have talked so much trash throughout our struggle years… Can’t wait.
I'll admit it, I'm bias, but facts are facts. One was in a full on track stance, one was not. One is 5'10" 170, one is 6'5" 195. That being said, both are remarkable athletes.
Look peeps. Trust Matt Rhule, trust this process. There WILL be an influx of players out of this program. That's natural in the transfer portal era with coaching changes. Let them walk. There will also be a lot of incoming portal guys.
