THREAD:
Dear
@realDonaldTrump
,
Throughout your presidency, you have rightly called for the United States to withdraw from open-ended conflicts around the world that no longer serve vital American interests.
With record inflation, over $30T in national debt, and no clear strategy from the Biden Admin, is an additional $40B in aid to Ukraine in our nation's interests?
Thank you to Sen.
@RandPaul
and others for demanding answers to this important question.
The 2001 AUMF should not be used to deploy hundreds of American soldiers to places like Somalia.
@RandPaul
is right - we need Congressional approval.
It's time for
@realDonaldTrump
to bring our men and women home!
#EndEndlessWars
After twenty years of war, it should be apparent that our endless wars in the Middle East don't serve our interests abroad.
@RandPaul
is right - it's time to
#EndEndlessWars
and BRING THEM HOME.
.
@RandPaul
thank you for not rubber stamping a potentially dangerous escalation of our involvement in the war in Ukraine.
The Senate must ask hard questions about what America hopes to achieve by infusing billions in addition to the billions we've already committed to Ukraine.
As of Wednesday afternoon, it didn't look as though Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., was ready to let the Ukraine aid package sail through the Senate as it did in the House a day earlier.
Concerned Veterans for America commends your effort to end our endless wars so our country can focus on more pressing domestic and foreign priorities.
We urge you to fully withdraw American troops from Afghanistan by the end of January 2021.
Thank you for your dedication to pursuing a foreign policy that puts American interests first. We look forward to continuing to support your efforts to end our nation’s endless wars.
Sincerey,
@NateJAnderson

This will finish the process you started to remove our troops from that country’s long-running conflict and secure your legacy as the Commander in Chief who ended America’s longest war.
This will be the twentieth holiday season U.S. forces have spent in Afghanistan away from their families. Through their valiant efforts, our troops long ago achieved America’s principal objectives in the country by decimating Al Qaeda and severely punishing the Taliban.
"One of us is one of the President’s leading critics, and the other is one of his closest allies. We are united in our conviction that Congress should lead efforts to disentangle our troops from bloody and costly endless wars."

"The events of yesterday do not reflect the America I fought and sacrificed for, and I suspect many veterans agree. What was on display was not democracy. It was violent, destructive, and shameful. Above all, it was un-American."
Unfortunately, previous administrations mired our troops in misguided nation-building efforts. This approach has proven costly and ineffective, leaving America no safer while aiding our rivals by keeping us bogged down in Central Asia.
By securing a full withdrawal from Afghanistan, you will stand with the three-quarters of the American people – including veterans and military families – who support bringing our troops home from a conflict that should have concluded long ago.
As president, your support of Ambassador Khalilzad’s peace efforts and withdrawal of thousands of troops from Afghanistan were important steps towards ending American involvement in the conflict.
Service members like Joe and Shannon Kent devote their lives to our country. Keeping them and others in endless wars dishonors their sacrifice and places huge burdens on military families. Learn more about

This year’s presidential race is critical for our nation’s future. But we see an opportunity to course correct, under the right leadership.
That’s why Concerned Veterans for America Action endorses
@NikkiHaley

We’re proud to stand with

Thank you

On Veterans Day, we reflect on the sacrifices made by veterans. On behalf of CVA and our community of veterans, family, and volunteers, thank you. We salute you. .

The American people, especially veterans, know the agony of war and are questioning the value of endless military conflicts. It's time our leaders put an end to forever wars.

Police don't need MRAPs, surplus BDUs, or leftover gear from our service branches.
Providing it to them creates dangerous situations that we don't need.

“The most important reform that we need to see concerning the VA is a widespread expansion of veterans choice.”
We had a great conversation with

Jessica Villarreal is an army combat veteran and a former social worker for the VA. Her tumultuous experiences at the VA have led her to be a voice for veterans everywhere, fighting for change.
We’re proud to join +100 orgs to demand Congress pass the Yemen War Powers Resolution. This important legislation ends US support for the Saudi-UAE coalition that has contributed to regional destabilization in the Middle East and increased the risk to America’s national security.
Today marks 76 years since D-Day, when immeasurably brave Americans stormed the beaches of the Third Reich and left their mark on history for all time. The stories of these heroes are forever timeless.

Instead of keeping our troops in isolated, vulnerable positions without achievable objectives, Congress must reassert its Article I powers to decide when, where, and why our troops are put in harms’ way.

Fighting the war in Afghanistan is no longer necessary for our safety. Experience the stories of five veterans and hear why they believe it’s time to end the nearly two-decades-old war.
Veterans are being shortchanged by the VA on a daily basis, being discouraged from using community care, and struggling to have their health care needs met, while the VA processes health care claims for unauthorized migrants and pushes them to community providers with no issue.
We're putting aside our differences with

If the White House wants to improve health care for veterans like it claims to have done via the PACT Act, it should stop blocking proper implementation of the VA MISSION Act and offer veterans community care so veterans actually get appointments.
