Sad that I am feeling obligated to post this, but I have been asked numerous times today about the 2020 General Election in California. Here are the results with a precinct map, registration, and turnout numbers.
🗳️ LEGISLATIVE UPDATE: Today, I’m proud to announce
#SB1174
to prohibit local governments from imposing voter ID requirements. This bill prevents this practice in Huntington Beach and any other city that wants to constrain the voting rights of Californians. 1/
BREAKING: An initiative that would make it harder for state and local governments to raise taxes will NOT be on the ballot in November, the CA Supreme Court decides.
Court ruled in favor of Gov &CALeg, which urged the court to strip the “Taxpayer Protection Act” from ballot.
Some top lines:
· 1,020,165 signatures have been received, and 668,771 have been verified.
· Of verified signatures, 560,364 of the total signatures that have been received are valid.
· The average signatures deemed valid of verified signatures is 84.15%
I think another reason that Governor Newsom wants to leave Fair Oaks for Marin County is because his neighbors don’t vote for him🤷🏽

I’m the guy who made this dashboard, and I hope that you found it useful for tracking ballot returns during the 2024 Primary Election.
I think that you may be misunderstanding some of the things that we’ve included on our tracking from the 2024 Primary🧵
I love my community, I love California, and I love our country. As Republicans, we have serious work to do to create the change that we want to see in our beautiful golden state. Lying about the 2020 Presidential election results in California does nothing to accomplish that.
Huntington Beach's new effort to circumvent state law and avoid building housing is an illegal stunt.
We'll continue to hold all communities accountable as we work to build more housing in California.

"I don’t believe in expressive campaigns. So since I no longer wish to win or serve you in the House, my campaign is over."
Over 1 million voters in California request a ballot in a language other than english. Here is a chart that shows their party registration share by some of the most common languages requested⬇️
BREAKING: California State Senator Marie Alvarado-Gil is switching her party affiliation from Democratic to Republican.
She reps a swing district that leans Republican with parts of the Central Valley and Eastern California.

In the 2022 race for State Controller,
@lanheechen
carried 16 congressional districts, 23 assembly districts, and 13 senate districts.
Breaking the supermajority in Sacramento and sending more GOP representatives to Washington looks a lot like his performance.
Today, I'm excited to announce the formation of the Golden State Watchdog PAC, which will promote ideas and support candidates to advance accountability and good governance in CA. I look forward to continuing to participate in the political conversation in CA and beyond.
· Fresno, Butte, Modoc, Glenn, Amador, Tulare, Lassen, Calaveras, Placer, and Kings County have received recall signatures from over 10% of their registered voters.

If you've seen the viral shoplifting videos from across California, you may have wondered what led to this.

Recently,
@SafeWise
released their latest report highlighting California's safest cities.
Let’s take a deeper dive into the top 10 safest cities in the state🧵⬇️
At the current verification rate of about 84%, this would likely put the current amount of valid recall signatures just below 1.1 million.
If the effort continues to acquire 100k signatures for the next 6 weeks, that would bring the total collected at around 1.9 million.

Hot take: The Precinct Captain model is outdated because precinct boundaries and numbers change every election. Also, some precincts are small and compact while others may be hundreds of square miles with very few people that live in them. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
