High School kids should not be forced to swing wood bats all summer. The odds of any of these players being paid to swing a wood bat are slim. Why not give college coaches a view at what they will be seeing everyday?
Seeing 6U travel baseball tryouts is disgusting. What’s the point? Let kids learn the game and have fun doing it at that age. Some adults in this baseball world have to get their priorities in order.
Players, specifically 2022 grads, please don’t ask me for help finding a place at the next level and then big league a college coach. You aren’t in a position to do that.
Just heard about a HS coach that gets upset, and punishes the team, when kids post videos of good things that they do from games that end up being a loss. How does that make sense? How is that helping kids play at the next level?
If you big league any college coach, you don’t deserve to play at the next level. You’re never to good to respond. Even a thanks, but no thanks is better than nothing.
Want to know a big reason that the transfer portal is out of control? Kids and families get bad advice from people who shouldn't be trusted for advice in the first place
Being able to simply play catch really well is one of the most important skill sets a young baseball player can have. Equates to so many situations on the diamond. Be good at playing catch!
With high school baseball starting all over the country, a lot of athletes are about to find out that being able to compete isn’t something you can turn on and off. You either do it and train it, or you’re behind.
Unpopular opinion:
The age old adage of "If you're good enough, they'll find you." Does not exist anymore UNLESS you are in the top 5%. Sure, nobody is missing an arm that throws 95. But, they will miss you if you are average and refuse to get exposure.
Everyone always wants to talk approach at the plate. Want to know what your approach should be? swing at the fastball over the plate. Inside, outside, up or down just hit the fastball.
Incoming Freshman, if you weren't familiar with competition before then you better buckle up! Competition is going to be coming at you fast and in multiple ways every single day this fall!
Personally, I don’t think people understand how good Junior College baseball is. A LOT of JUCO could beat 50%, or more, D1 programs in a 5 game series.
Parents, a word of advice as the summer season begins. It is best practice to make sure that college coaches DONT know who your kid is. Be a spectator and enjoy the game!
Players, it is a long and hot summer. Please make sure you are putting good stuff in your bodies. Water, fruits and things like that. Avoid soda, fried food as much as possible.
Seeing a lot of tweets about kids being excited about NTIS beginning next week. Just know, your coaches are probably more excited that you. Truly a unique experience
My son asked me to coach his T-ball team. I honestly didn’t want to and wanted him to just go and have fun being a kid for a bit. This should be interesting.
I hate when I see an org say “X amount of D1 commits”. So screw the other kids, right? Next level is next level. Don’t let anyone tell you differently.
I have a lot of windshield time coming up tomorrow and Thursday. Anyone interested in playing for
@ECDodgersScout
next summer in the 24-27 grad class, let me know and we can hop on a call and discuss!
Players, one of the most important skills you can develop is effectively communicating. Not just in baseball, but in life. Learn how to speak to people on and off the field.
Players, if your organization is only promoting the D1/P5 guys, find a new org. You matter too and deserve just as much promotion. The next level, is the next level.
Players, if you still have the time/energy to take pics in the gym while talking about “the grind” or “getting my work in”, I promise that first 6 am lift/run will ruin your life
If a “scout team” is charging for tryouts, guess what? It’s a 2 way scam. Not really a scout team AND they’re charging for tryouts (biggest scam in youth baseball btw)
The better your grades are, the more recruitable you are. There’s a hell of a lot more academic money out there than there is baseball money. Take care of business in the classroom
@Troskytexas
I do not have an issue with kids looking at options. That's the point right? Schools have options, so do players. The issue I have is a kid acting like he is too good for somewhere, when he doesn't have a spot anywhere.
Couldn’t be more excited for the exposure this partnership with
@ftrstarsseries
is going to bring our guys. Check the link for our scout day coming up October 15 at Historic Durham Athletic Park!
We are happy to announce our strategic partnership with the
@ftrstarsseries
. We will begin by hosting a Scout day, that is open to the public, October 15, 2022, for graduating classes 2023-2027 at the Historic Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

2023 Conference Carolina Freshman of the Year and 2nd Team All-Conference DH
I have officially enter the transfer portal. Thank you to NGU for everything. I am open to all opportunities.
Truly feel bad for kids/families in the recruiting process. It should be fun, it isn’t. It should be done once the NLI is signed, not always the case. Really is a tough reality right now. Something has to change.
No Excuses! It’s not a state of the art baseball training facility but it has everything you will need to get stronger. If you are a high schooler and need a place to workout this summer, find your local planet fitness 💯🏋🏻♂️⚾️
Players, with HS baseball around the corner. Please make that your priority! No question that it should be, and if someone tells you any different, they are WRONG!
Again, it is VERY hard to PLAY at the next level. Not just get a scholarship, but be a contributing member of your team. If you aren't ready to compete every second of every day, don't bother.
Players are in such a rush to commit now, like right now. Instead, take some time and build a relationship with the coaches you'll be playing for for the next 3-5 years. Stop making decisions based off of what looks good or cool for social media.
Players, PLEASE don’t forget, a commitment to a school means NOTHING until that NLI is signed. Ranking and everything else, doesn’t matter. 22’s who got screwed in the last week, reach out and I’ll see if I can help!
You know what pisses me off? Showcase “coaches” taking credit for their kids success and performance. The athlete deserves the credit. They put the work in. Period.
If you play for a different organization every summer and fall, I promise you that it's not the organizations you are playing for that are the problem. It's you.
