We just elected 63 councillors to represent the city of Dublin so why is a minister now overstepping us to undo our work which meets the goals of our statutory City Development Plan? @EmerHigginsTD sit down with us councillors to learn about the damage traffic does to Dublin.

Amazing turnout at the Cobblestone Protest this afternoon. Our cultural infrastructure has been under attack for decades because it’s not as profitable as hotels…but who will stay in hotels if the city has no space for music, art, comedy, dance, poetry, etc etc

I started out in panto at the age of 6 alongside the main ‘mammy’ character performed by a man in drag. Never questioned it, never thought it was wrong and never saw it protested. What message is being sent to these kids by the loud protesters telling them something is wrong?

I wasn’t expecting any sensible ideas from Michael but perpetuating the idea that it’s up to women to fight back to be safe is exactly why this will happen again and again and again. The women of Kerry deserve better.

In light of the tragic murder of Aisling Murphy and the ever-increasing assaults of women in Irish society,I am calling on the Government to open a real debate in legalising the use of Mace so women in particular would be able to defend themselves against unprovoked assaults.

Great to see the vision the @SaveTolkaPark has for their stadium. In the last few months I’ve been learning about the lack of playing pitches on the north side of Dublin and there’s increasing numbers of girls playing different sports from a young age. I’m backing #SaveTolkaPark

Very proud of the #SocDem TDs fighting for workers rights. Tonight they will propose a motion in the Dáil to increase protections for vulnerable workers, advance collective bargaining rights and value essential workers. #SocDems4Workers

And the Deputy Lord Mayor is our own @MaryCallaghanSD and the #SocFemmes are delighted to see #morewomen in leadership. In her opening words Mary champions those who live in doubt, poverty and danger and sets out a goal of a Dublin which cares for its most vulnerable. #socdems

Great to see such strong support for a pedestrianised College Green. More car free areas will open up space for markets, performances, outdoor dining and community events. Excited to see where this project goes. #collegegreen

Thanks to the 3,900 people who took part in the College Green consultation! 96% of online submissions (3581) were in favour of Option 4. We also received some written submissions from businesses & groups. All will be used to inform the next stage of the project. #CollegeGreen

While we are seeing a lot of younger people leave the Green Party, many others will leave without announcing it. I was 27 when I first joined a political party, I’m inspired by the young people who sign up and put the hard work in. Every party and movement needs young voices..1/2

There should be better solutions by now for our schools. Students and staff should feel safe, including those with health conditions that make them vulnerable to Covid. Communication from Norma has also been woeful but @GaryGannonTD hits the nail on the head as always. 👇🏼

I’m furious that two years into a global pandemic, our ineffective government/ minister have rendered yet again the debate around the safety of our school community has one solely focused on whether buildings should be opened or closed. /1

The HSE said it appeared likely that some people in Group 7 may have been categorised incorrectly in the computer system as being in Group 4 when they got their first dose.

I can finally register to vote as an Irish citizen! 🎉 I imagine that for many it's just a form, but it is so much more! In years of living in Ireland I didn't get a say on who represents me at the Dáil or vote on referenda that affect my rights. #Vote

Disappointed that a counter motion from @sinnfeinireland is on the agenda to push for the reduction in sports infrastructure in the city. We can have two high quality stadiums to cater for the increasing demand resulting from more girls playing. #SaveTolkaPark @SaveTolkaPark

The only businesses to contact me arguing against a more accessible city are carparks. Imagine how enjoyable the city centre would be with more space to walk and hang out, cleaner air and more on-street activities and traders to engage with? Great thread from @1GaryGannon 👇🏻

This is nonsense from lobby group fighting a losing battle. Trade in the city centre is at risk from online retail and the fact that motorway shopping centres are just more convenient to those who want to drive to shop. If we are to preserve the 1/?

Thrilled to get my motion passed at the February Council and to hear management are already looking at warmer tones in LED public lighting. Bright blue light can trigger migraine and with 1 in 5 women and 1 in 15 men suffering migraine in Ireland it's time for LED Guidelines.
