Why, after gas hit $4/gal in 2008, didn’t we let it keep going? As an irreplaceable energy storage commodity that fuels climate change, we should have put an incrementing tax on it of $0.25/gal/year, regardless of supply, and used the revenue to fund alt energy infrastructure.
